  • In the interconnected global landscape, regional conflicts such as the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war and escalating tensions in the Middle East-marked by the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and threats from Hezbollah and the Houthis-have significant implications far beyond their immediate theaters. These conflicts draw significant attention and resources from Western powers, particularly the United States, potentially affecting their strategic commitments elsewhere. China sees an opportunity in this turmoil to assert its dominance in the South China Sea (SCS), destabilizing Southeast Asia and testing U.S. security commitments in the region. As China ramps up its militarization and territorial claims, Southeast Asian nations face economic risks and security challenges. The U.S. is strained to maintain its Indo-Pacific strategy amidst these crises, with domestic reluctance towards foreign interventions adding to the complexity. China's strategic maneuvers in the SCS, coupled with its economic and diplomatic efforts, aim to reshape regional dynamics, making the stability of Southeast Asia precarious. The broader implications of these geopolitical shifts underscore the need for Southeast Asian nations to balance security and economic needs while the U.S. navigates its global leadership responsibilities amidst multifaceted conflicts. In south east asia, Indonesia is the most potential country to contain chinese influence and have the biggest potential to be china's strongest rival
    Yet....
Instead of making Indonesia willing to be Chinese rival, USA doing alot of mistakes and blunders that causing Indonesia unwilling to support US attempt to contain and stoping China's influence.
Such as meddling with indonesia's plan to buy Russian Sukoi SU35, supporting west papuan rebel, supporting palm oil ban, and such
