The moment he turns is a good foreshadowing that hambie is a thing in this series. When I first saw that shot of him walking towards the camera followed by zombies is a dead giveaway (pun intended). So yeah I agree that he might appear in season 2 and I agree that he intended to get beaten and he is injecting himself some sort of immunity drug before getting beaten so he can be a hambie.

Imagine Byeong chan half-bie is like a level 3 half- bie, compared to the common horde which is level 1. And the rest of the half-bie is like level 2 which is usually human looking. Byeong chan looks like a zombie but he is maintaining human intelligence
Well personally I believe that moment is probably the most important moment of the show so I believe that he will appear in season 2 because I reckon he went into the camp with a new disguise then will plan to destroy the Korean government
As a big fan of horror movies i think Byeong-chan will be in season 2 of All of us are dead . All Of Us Are Dead is one of i think the best series of all time . the story of this series was so spot on and i can not be more excited can't wait for season 2 .

If they are about to make season 2, here is my theory probably gwi nam's friend might be alive and villain in s2, all of their friends has been shown before they bombed the school except Miss Park and that bully guy, they didnt even show them that they are literally a zombie, we saw that miss park is just turning but we haven't seen her in the rest of episodes and the bully guy too, so there is possibility that they are hambies too.

He needs to come back and finish up his mess. Children are left without parents we've got a newborn baby whose mother turned into a monster, and still has a bit of humanity left inside of her , to protect her little one instead of eating her. MAD SCIENTIST MUST RETURN 🙈🔬

You ignore the fact that he saved the policeman before he turn into a zombie and block the zombie so that the policeman can run away alive. And he also tell the police where to find his notebook. I don't think he's the kind of guy you're talking about.

I kind of don’t want there to be a season 2. I feel like leaving it like this is for the best, some movies/series are better left with no sequel such as this. It’s left for the viewer’s imagination of what will happen next and I want to leave it at that.

Right think about that… when they get the labtop and goes through the files.. they find there is no cure or way to reverse the virus. He is a cunning cruel angry father who lost his son and wants revenge.

There is also a possibility that the English teacher might be a hambie as well. Right after she save Na-yeon and shove her inside the choir room, the zombies completely ignored her allowing her to talk to Na-yeon. We also didn’t see her zombiefied at all after that or even see her die on-screen

Thats a great theory considering the fact that Nam-ra stated that there were others like her, we know her character well to understand that she does not trust anyone out side of her bubble so the english teacher being a half bite makes sense.

Hope is what causes the halfbies. Eunji hopes the the video of her never leaks. Gwinam hopes to kill Cheong-San. Namra hopes bare-su will like her.
My theory about him is that maybe his superpower is to turn the zombies into hybrids. He said in one of his recordings he believes that it would be cool to have a species of humans that were super human and I am paraphrasing I don't remember what his actual words were. So, I believe that would probably be his mission to create more like him. But, I don't believe that he is a villain. I think he will be the leader of the group of hybrids that Nam-ra belongs to.

@@mohitgujar123 in my own understanding, there could be 2 reasons. 1) they either performed experiments on her somewhere far away in South Korea, Or
2) They likely have killed her despite being a hambie.
I think its also important to notice that Byeongchan's son and wife was not killed immediately. Instead they just moved by the politician to be experimented. I think it could add as nice fuel for his revenge.
The commander said he watched Byeong-chan saying in his video diary that the only resolution would be to kill the host since he can't find a cure. But we see his wife and son still chained on the same spot at their house. Something is not adding up.

He did not walk nor behave like the usual zombies but he looked more zombie-like than the hambies like Nam-Ra, Gwi Nam and Eun Ji. He must be a different kind of hambie. He also told the detective on episode 4 before he turned that. "If you try to find a solution to all this, that's [laptop] the only way". But the guy in charge of the martial law didn't find any info about the solution in his laptop or he probably didn't look hard enough. I think season 2 wil focus on finding a vaccine to the virus and a war with the bad hambies.

Isn't he told in his last video that commander saw alone that burning every zombie cell is the only solution so i think there is no other solution present against this virus.

Thats why the commander came up to the decision of blowing up the entirety of Hyosan because byeong chan said its the only way to defeat. But why didnt byeong chan kill his son and wife? There must be a cure somewhere on the laptop. He even emphasized it with the detective that the only solution is on the laptop. If the solution is to kill the host,he couldve just said it to the detective. Kill the zombies and find the laptop. But no. Something is not adding up
@@cat_atouille the commander told the captain that they could only have a small percentage of the information of the scientist teacher. Which means that the other half of the information is in the laptop and probably has the cure. I don't know why they couldn't just take the laptop instead of transferring
information. They could have put the laptop on their chest and zip it up. Maybe the laptop survived the bombing and it is untouched in the room. Maybe in s2 they find the laptop and get the remaining information.
@@devannyblanco3309 they did bring the laptop with them i believe. they unlocked it first maybe to see if they got the right laptop but i think they brought it with them. you can see the soldier putting in the laptop in a small case before closing it. i mean it should be common sense to bring in the whole laptop coz it could possibly contain all the info they need to save and cure probably the whole world and humanity who knows

I think after death of Gwi Nam he'll be the super villain and lead the other group of hambies and go against the human beings. And Nam Ra & Co. will go against him is season 2.

If a science teacher comes back to life in season 2, He is likely to destroy the whole society... His wife and child have already died, and he is angry with the social system in which he lives.
Agreed, however i don't think his goal is to "destroy society" he is a scientist and the main objective of the virus was to make the human body stronger and in a way he kind of succeeded. He justified killing his son bc "he was too weak like his father" so trying to get back at society isn't consistent considering the fact that he had no remorse for his son dying at the end of the interview.

@@zahraa7464 what? He had so much remorse that he couldn't even bring himself to kill his son lol he knew the only "cure" was to burn the host. We see him prepare to set his son and wife on fire but in the end he couldn't do it.
I also believe Byeongchan survived and will take on revenge. I doubt Gwinam's alive, as I believe that Cheongsun survived the bombing by using Gwinam's body on top of him. However, if Gwinam did survive, I want Byeongchan to finally confront Gwinam for bullying his son, along with Eunji. I think it's most likely for Eunji to team up with Byeongchan as they both share the same hatred towards society.
Your theory is very likely but instead of teaming up with eunji, byeong Chan would probably use her for his own personal agenda. He's just too smart and cunning to be working with someone else

the ending alludes to a hambie community and as much as i wish Namra and other the good zombies live as peaceful as they can i feel like they're gonna be a key to figuring out the jonas virus. maybe Mr. Lee can help too?
i feel like the science teacher will become good, as he still told the cop where the laptop was. yet, i think something could happen that COULD cause him to be evil like a conflict with the army and other things. there could definitley be a divide with regulars and hambies which definitley seems like a good plot. i think the full zombies themselves could also be another conflict theyll need to face in season 2. another thing: *maybe the cure could be from the hambies, as we don't know much from them and there must be a reason to as why they arent fully zombies.*

His story is not completely told yet he has to return for season 2. Maybe the police detective too, all we saw was him and some survivors ride out on a bus and that was it.

I agree with your theory and dope break down man. Now thinking about it, they never showed Byeong-chan dying with the rest of the horde of zombies when the bombs went off. The camera panned to every main or support character that turned into a zombie but they never showed him. I definitely feel he will be back and strong as hell lol.

People who are fearless and determinate won't turn into total zombies as we can clearly see in episode 7, where the science teacher mentions that if the temperature rises after bitten by zombies, then the white blood cells activates than those with fear, their temperature decreases. That's the reason why hambies came into existence
He may very well be the main antagonist of S2 perhaps turning into a Magneto esque character and could very be more powerful than even Gwi Nam.
If season 2 does happen, gwi-nam (if he has managed to survive) surely must have crossed roads with Byeong-chan and might team up with them to create something more, possibly, dangerous or a more stronger mutated hambies. I’m also hoping that he won’t start another jonas virus 2 🥲

Why is everyone thinking he will become a villain? he sacrifice himself for the cop to escape and get his laptop to the authorities so they can stop the virus. I also think he is a hambie but I don't think he plan it. If he appear in Season 2, I don't think he will be the main villain.

OK. Byeong-Chan is going to become Palpatine and try to kill all human. Cheong-San will become his right hand man as Darth Vader. Later Byeong-Chan gonna try to kill On-Jo and Cheong-San will stop him or finish him.
Byeong-chan living and creating a community with the surviving hambies and punish humans is what I think may happen in season 2 and namra maybe fighting against them.

Byeong chan will not be a humbie. He is going to be worst. Humbie is like 90% human and 10% zombie with super abilities. Byeong chan will be 90%zombie and 10% human with the same super abilities. He will be another kind of mutation of the virus. Like the resident evil boss he will be able to mutate further and further,growing stronger and stronger. He will have the ability to create another kind of zombie, more evolve but evil . He will be the villain of season 2 or 3. And all humbie will have to join force to fight him and his army .
He smiled first cynically but was horrified eventually. Nice plot twist in season 2 would be that true monsters are humans /government who would start experimenting on his family and others. It would be nice to see him with Eun as they both change their persective of others. I can understand both of them, the amount of rage and frustration they held inside made them see other people not human. I hope for redemption arc for both of them.
Oh he is ABSOLUTELY a half zombie. I think the teacher is a hambie as well because we didn’t see her turn or die and she didn’t get a nosebleed and the zombies left her alone after biting her.
This is a great theory about Byeong-Chan being a hombie. Because the story completely moved beyond the present-day character, it didn't dawn on me that he didn't develop the characteristics of the other zombies. He most likely was the first instance of a hombie, before the bully character, Nam-ra and the other girl character who was a part of the bully's crew. The next season is going to be very interesting. I definitely think that Byeong-Chan will continue to play a major part in the story, along with Nam-ra. And like others' have theorized, I also think that Cheong-San and the bully are still "alive" - and that they are both hombies. I'm very interested in the next season delving into the science behind hombies, and how or if they can be integrated into human society.
I could only say there's still an impact on finding his laptop even if there's no solution. he explained the different effects if you get bitten. Although he lied about there's a solution in his laptop.
Wait if he truly wanted to see the downfall of society and hated people why did he tell the detective about the solution in his office. I mean for one he could have let the zombies infect the detective and he would have still been bit if he wanted, then he helps him by telling him about the solution. I could be wrong but it looked like he helped save humanity rather than want to destroy it.
Survival of the strongest
In an alternate universe, Byeong-chan succeeds in genetically modifying his son and “All of Us are Dead” is about a Superhero (or super villain)

In that scene during teaching he suddenly changed his behaviour and started writing on board some wired words and his act was also seemed so strange and a zombie type sound was also there in the background..... I think he’s alive. He looked different after getting bit. He didn’t display all the same mannerism of the brainless zombies. He was somewhat walking normal. I think he’s leading the other halfbies.

Lee Byeong Chan reminds me of William Birkin from Resident Evil 2. Hyosan city is like Raccoon City from Resident Evil.
this madman might've already "mutated" the zombies by himself and built a group under his command. when namra said that they're here at the ending, they might be byeongchan's ppl who are trying to track down every zombie and hambie left in the city. namra being adapted to the changes already, she might be a lone rebel and is doing her best to get her friends back for them to take down the villain together.

Byeong-Chan is not the only person that have knowledge about the virus, The government has his laptop that contain all of his research data and videos and very possible continues his research and experimentations. I believe that the government will be the villain for season 2 or at least will cause another outbreak, remember that they also have 2 specimen and did not show that they destroyed the 2. They also even have Byeong-Chan's wife and son as I remember

I dont think byeong chan would want to destroy society. beacause if he wanted he woldnt tell officer about laptop at the first place
He couldn't cure the virus and gave up hope while trying to cure his wife and son, he has basically the same information the government has. If there is a season 2 and I doubt it will be the same story line (last people to be infected were some fishermen off the coast of japan) continued I hope they bring the virus back to its original roots somehow with the worms.
