I just made something like this last night, but used more milk and less flour. The result was a cake sitting on top of a thin lemon custard sauce, and it was fantastic.
I was actually just looking at our pile of lemons in our family's giant bowl just before wondering what am I gonna do with them until I then saw your video :3
In certain english speaking countries they refer to any dessert as ''Pudding''... Although, I don't know where you are from, but this might be why it seems odd to call this cake a pudding^^
what country does this recipe come from? I've never seen pudding made this way in the states, it looks heavenly, I will be trying this as soon as I get ahold of some lemons...thanks
Well thats a coincidence. I've literally got this in the oven right now, I was making a Lemon Drizzle cake today and popped it in the oven about 20 minutes ago, then your video popped up. Nicko, get out my Kitchen :c Edit: Here it is, with the lemony sugary drizzle on top. puu.sh/97uiJ/d920cdd717.jpg The "pool" you see in the middle is the lemon juice, mixed with sugar. It'll slowly seep into the cake, leaving a nice sugary layer on top with a beautiful lemon flavor. The cake itself is pretty much the same as the one you made, with zest and juice mixed into the batter.

I tried this, and the cake dries out after a day. Could it be that 1.5 cups of flour is too much? Your mix seems a lot more "loose" than what I came up with. Mine was very thick. You seem to use a single cup of flour, your recipe description says 1.5 cups. Or should I have reduced the baking time?

That's interesting. The recipe i use has a water bath so the top half is cake-like but the bottom is saucy and syrupy.
