Last month I read The Cricket in Times Square after your Mouse video. I loved Tucker. He certainly would get in you in the right state of mind, being such a NYC character himself. Bless your heart for reading and sharing that 9/11 book. I don't think I could read through the tears, but it is so important that those experiences were collected, preserved, documenting the terrible, terrible human impact.
This reminds me that with all my “book traveling,” I haven’t read nearly enough books set in NYC! I did read Mrs. Harris Goes to New York a few months ago, the sequel to Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris. I loved it! It really makes you feel like you’re in mid-century New York City, and it’s absolutely delightful. I’ve never been to NYC, but the author makes it seem unexpectedly cozy. I’ll have to check out The Dream Daughter, it sounds right up my alley with the time-travel element.
I just love the creative themes you come up with for your videos. I've not read Lucia, Lucia but I have read the Big Stone Gap series and really enjoy her writing.
Oh thank you, Cajun. I feel like you'd enjoy Lucia, Lucia. My mom read the Big Stone Gap series, and I read the first book. I really should finish the series... 🤔❤️
If I won one of those billion dollar lottery jackpots, one of the first things I'd do is buy a small, in a great location, maybe a view of the park (🥰), wonderful doorman building apartments in Manhattan. I would live there until I exhausted myself of all that NYC has to offer. You can visit me anytime. Leave your books at home. We will hit all the used bookstores! lol Great video!
What a creative idea for a video, Tammy! I'd love to take a trip to NYC, but I could never get my husband there 😂I bet you heard about Happy All the Time from Jen's Reading Life...Laurie Colwin is one of her favorite authors I believe. I've had Heroic Measures on my TBR since I heard your mom talk about it ❤Thanks for these recommendations!
The Only Plane in the Sky was a fascinating read. It's one I would like to reread. I did the audio, which was great, but would love to do the physical version.
I've never been to New York City. I'm not much of a city person, but I think it has a lot I would enjoy. I did spend a few hours in Jersey City recently and we walked down to the river and looked at New York (where my friend came from).
Tammy, sorry to say I am probably not a fan of NYC lol. But I am in the minority. I loved Delicious! A different read than I expected. I will probably read more than go to the city and I’m from NY State😮
❤
I loved the All of a Kind Family series as a kid ❤
I really need to pick up more books in the series. ☺️❤️
What a fun list! I really enjoyed Alan Gratz Ground Zero!
Same here! He seems to be a pretty good author for the middle grade crowd. I'd like to read more books by him. ☺️

I agree with all you said, book twinsie!
The Cricket in Time Square is one of the only books I remember reading when I was younger. We read a lot, I just don't usually remember what.
I just read it for the first time this year. How did I never read The Cricket in Times Square before now??? 🤔🧐 😂😂😂
This was so much fun. What a great idea and a good way to celebrate two things you love: NYC & reading!
Thanks so much! It was so fun to see you the other night on the sprints. 😁❤️📚
@@believeinyourshelf I agree! I wish we got to chat more on there. Next time!

Be prepared. Have tissues handy. The book made me very emotional all the way through. Such a great story, though!!!!! ❤️📚

That's a really fun idea for a book !! And all of them are such books!! Well, except for the 9/11 books,of course. Great idea for your video!
Thanks mom and dad. 🥰

Oh yesssss, it was probably Jen's channel, lol. I watch too many channels to keep track. Please let me know how you like Heroic Measures, ok? ❤️📚❤️

It was a tough read, but a good read for sure. ❤️🥺📚

I would love to visit again someday. NYC will always have my heart. ❤️
When you were talking about NYC books, I thought you would mention ‘The Great Gatsby,’ by Scott F. Fitzgerald.
I've read The Great Gatsby, but I completely forgot all about it, lol! ❤️

How fun that you read and loved Delicious, too. I think it's a book more people should know, read, and talk about. 😊❤️📚
What a great idea Tammy.
Might take your idea and go on my own Imaginary Vacation
Go for it! I would love to watch your video. ❤️❤️❤️
@@believeinyourshelf Ok, will try and work it out this week
