I have had pre moving yard sales where I gave most of it away. I dont want to pack it, move it, and unpack it. I am happy to allow anyone to take it, for reselling or personal use, or whatever. Just take it away! Awesome score on the purses Dave!
@@tammybyers3561 Last time I moved I literally took six truck and flatbed trailer loads and donated it at SOS in the next town over! I had yard sales for three weeks in a row Thursday through Sunday I gave all kinds of stuff away! And everything that left made me feel a little bit better it still took me six weeks to move after all of that 😵💫🤪

Yep! You were here in Tallahassee at our annual Southwood sale (used to be 2x year) because I just went to this video. The house you bought the Augusta bobble head from has a sale every time and packed with stuff. She overprices her kid clothes a lot but I bought a few toys from her. Then 2 years ago bought a Lilly Pulitzer planner from which was blank for $5 and I am using it this year. Heck! I have been watching you for years, wish I would have known to say hi. I have garage sale footage years ago on my channel from a Southwood sale. I always go because I love a neighborhood sale in town but prices at most houses are either ridiculous expensive like $25-$100 for shoes...or cheap. Just have to find the cheap ones.

Purse lady took you for a ride. $10 each would have been on the high side, $85 was outrageous. Hubby was crazy high on everything as well. When they start talking about online, you should just walk.
Some people just don't get it. I think one thing that helped me during my first (and last lol) yard sale was my neighbor told me "How much would you be willing to pay for it? That's how you price it!" My husband doesn't get it at all! We have a beautiful wood TV stand that comes apart into 5 pieces, 2 glass towers with touch lighting. It's truly beautiful. We paid almost $3,000 for it... 13 years ago. And I want to get rid of it and hang the TV from the wall because we're redoing the family room. He is OK with that but he's being unreasonable with the price. He doesn't want to sell it for less than $800. But, let's be real, I doubt anyone would buy it for that much. I said we could probably get $300 MAX but, I'd be willing to go down to $150. Maybe I am the one that's crazy. But, I think he is asking too much for it given the age and condition plus everyone tightening their belts the past few years.
@@cbeel3873 my ex was the same. we did a number of toy and other markets, and i got sick of carting the same things from show to show, because he would not budge on prices. ive since done a few by myself, and i price stuff to sell because i want it gone.
i have a rule that if it goes back in the car, it gets donated the next day. on a few occasions i will hold something for the next show, but only if i think it has a fair shot of going.
the last show i did, i had two boxes of cabbage patch kids, and several boxes of 80s sylvanian families. i made plenty of little girls days because it was all priced cheap, and i basically sold out of both ranges.
$85 was waaaaaayyyy too much.
People don't want that type of furniture anymore. We tried to see a beautiful modern bedroom set for cheap. We basically gave it away.😢 @@cbeel3873

Ok and now the older woman you were talking about Christmas tree house store. There was a little set of revereware measuring cups on the side table I looked up. She wouldn't go down on price and there was something else I almost bought...but I did get a few vintage pieces of jewelry from her. I don't know why it is making me laugh and get excited to see you were at sales I went to but never seen anybody else I watch that happen. 😂😂😂😂She mentions the estate sale off Mahan and I went to that one too. 😮😮😮

Why? You're not allowed to sell stuff that you buy from someone? They obviously want their stuff gone or they wouldn't have a yard sale. If they are trying to get the full value of their items they should sell them online. I don't understand people's logic sometimes lol

If your willing to do the extra work you can always make more money, people know this when they sell at a garage sale
I don't mind if people resell anything I sell or give away. They end up putting more effort into it than I am willing to. 99% of the stuff I am getting rid of I either put up on a Buy Nothing, Sell Nothing page on Facebook or donate to Savers/Goodwill because I don't want to put effort into it, I just want it gone but don't want it in a landfill if it's still in good condition. If someone cleans it up and sells it, good for them! I don't have time for all that.
