Hey! Yes there are two vents already built in the Prius, one behind the 12v battery, and one on the other side, you can custom mount to those. I was thinking of making a window mounted system which could be adopted to any window if there was interest in like a kick starter for it, at some point
So you have a 200ah and use 200 watt solar panel battery for cell phone charging, cooking, refrigerator, miscellaneous fans. And you the hybrid battery for climate control ? I’m asking because I’m retired and thinking about buying a Prius and doing something similar. Any advice. Thank you for sharing
My understanding is that the version of the Prius V sold in Japan, which is called the Prius α, has the batteries under the center console between the front seats because the Lithium Ion batteries they use take up less space than the Nickle Cadmium batteries used in the United States version of the Prius V. That is why the Japanese version can have a third row of seat in their Prius α, since it doesn't have the batteries over the rear axle (which you moved to the side). That said, if, when replacing the batteries in a Prius V, I wonder if one couldn't change the position of the batteries to under the center console by using Lithium Batteries as the replacement?
@LexBuildAdventures In the UK , they sell the 3 Row of seats, which is called a prius plus. I wonder if they have the battery in the location Doug mentioned🤔
Question when you modified the battery box did anything have to be wired diffrent or was it mostly a position change ?Thank you for your videos a big inspiration,I just moved into my Prius v and hope to incorporate allot of things you put in your build .my far best Prius v videos on RUclips,
Yes it was quite difficult to move the wires around and high voltage components, I would not recommend it unless you have an electronics background, as it can be dangerous and you can damage the car/components if done wrong.
@@LexBuildAdventures I'm located in Raleigh NC live in my car and have a full time job would be a well worth investment to make me allot more comfortable
Yep. but its temporary and the battery is enclosed. The end goal is to move it to the other side, but mainly because I want a shorter water line so it doesn't freeze.
This is crazy you were able to move the battery pack!
Came here after watching your initial build of this Prius, crazy to see you uploaded this today! Awesome vid!👍
heheh good timing. thanks for watching! new build video out soon too
Thanks for the tour nice setup.
My pleasure! Putting out the build video soon!
Great build and tour
Thank you!
Awesome setup dude! Nice job!
very nice build!!!
Thanks!
Dude, this setup is amazing!
Thank you! I'll be dropping a build video soon
Perfect!
I have a Prius camper as well. Any chance that you could show or give more detail on how you setup the ventilation? Where did you cut the hole for it?

That’s it man , loving it. Living the dream.. I’ll post mines soon.
Join on the next trip! 😎😎
How hard was it to move the batteries to the side, I like to do the same with mine. Thanks 👍👍
A good deal of work. And you need to be experienced with electrical and hvac to do it properly
@@LexBuildAdventures ok I’ll hire an expert. Thanks
@@scottdurkee9162 yep that's best since the voltage range is lethal at 200v+

Yep pretty much my setup. My new video will show my new build

That's pretty neat! I changed mine to lithium as well

If I knew an electrician that could do that ,I would pay good money for that ,thanks man
@@zanewest8887 where are you located?

I just went through NC a few days ago hehe. Almost back to Toronto now.
You are an AMAZING CAMPER BUILDER! Can you please build my Prius and I’ll pay you whatever price you say?
I can help if you are close
Baaad idea , dude you put a sink , on top of the battery wow. Disaster waiting to happen , your battery expand is dead moist. Short circuit 💣

Too much stuff 😵💫
