Theme music for "Elevator That's Moving Worryingly Fast, And Yet Somehow Still Takes Multiple Minutes To Get You To Your Floor".
I like this a lot.
I love the sound of the Vibraphone. Another reason why I love Jazz music.
Most of the comments seem to be negative which means there are a lot of stupid people . The vibraphone is one of the best-sounding instruments out there and it isn't easy to play. This guy is good at it. So to all the nay-sayers, just go back down in the basement and eat your Cheetos that the government paid for.
You are correct sir. I haven't seen a negative comment here that isn't drowning in ignorance. Elevator music? Weather channel? Get a little musical education people!
Hey, u suck
dude, theyre just jokes
it is, I love the vibes......I hope there is available here in the Phils. it is quite difficult to find one. Many years ago, Yamaha sells them here, but not anymore. I am dying to get one for my orchestra!
As someone who plays vibes, my only complaints would be that sometimes his rhythm feels a little "lost," (never off, just a little hesitant) but it is an improv solo so that's pretty expected unless you're Gary Burton, and sometimes I think he might playing too much, too quickly, which leads to part of the song sounding a little crowded. Overall though it's amazing to be able to improv as consistently as he was for as long as he did.
Such a beautiful sound from a beautiful musical instrument. I've been searching the origin of this sound for a long time, finally
people at school might laugh because I'm in frontline, but I don't care because the vibraphone is mesmerizing!
Frontline?
it's the auxilary percussion of marching band.
We call it pit too! And I'm vibes for jazz yay
はげ 1 we call it front ensemble in my band but they call it pit for short.
Preach
Mans passed the vibe check
Blue Bossa with blue mallets. Makes sense!
Sweet sound, it has its own special something. Love this instrument.
I came to find any random vibraphone video as a joke for a friend. I stayed because this was freakin awesome. Great job. I'm chair dancing.
lol thanks man
Groovy. Can I sit at the bar and sip a martini and just enjoy the band?
For real, man! My heart would melt at that bar.
I sounds like I'm trapped inside Animal Crossing
sarah s HAHAHAHA BEST COMMENT EVER!!!
sarah s HAHAHAHA BEST COMMENT EVER!!!
This player is good, nice version of Blue Bossa. Vibraphone is the most orgasmic instrument, a therapy for stress, vibraphone is the Champagne of jazz and this music is not made for the dummies.
I want one of these. If you're really into the vibraphone look up Lionel Hampton. He was the king.
+Bart Stewart also look up Dave Pike if you like the vibes you wont be dissapointed
Thanks to the both of you.
Lionel Hampton, though the father of all we vibes players, was a bit heavy handed and mired in the swing era. The deftest touch ever on up-tempo and (especially) ballads was Milt Jackson. If it's monster four mallet technique you want seek out Gary Burton. The best vibist no one remembers is Teddy Charles. Also, you must hear Bobby Hutcherson. These guys are essential listening! Then, you can move on to the second and third tier talents.
I want one too but they're like $2000
Cal Tjader
Love this instrument. This cat is smooth !
We need more, stuff like this.
beautiful elegant sound, love it!
I just love the sound of vibraphone 😩
I'm gonna respectfully cry in the corner while I wish I could solo like this (seriously this has been the most helpful video so far for soloing ideas and your amazing thanks)
This video gives me good vibes.
Get it?!
Your improv skill are awesome
Best restroom song ever
my fav type of jaz is anything involving the xylophone/vibraphone!
Very beautiful. Thank you. What a great job ! Your impro is so fluid and melodious. I can easily imagine the years of hard work to get that apparent simplicity
Sooooooooo goooooooooooooooooooooooood!
Thanks a lot from a drummer!
If they had this music in my store I would stay much longer and spend more money.
Now, I need a drink.
norpan506 Yeah, Same
Beautiful, I love the sound of Vibraphone, so relaxing.
Fantastic.such a beautiful sound,such a talented guy.more,more,more😀
Ooo, yeah, Mr. Parks, go on with your bad self on that vibraphone!!! You know how to sing and swing on that instrument. I know the composer, Kenny Dorham, is diggin' the hell outta this from on high.
This makes me want to play vibes alot more! I love it!
This video gives me good vibes.
Excellent playing.
Wow, stunning solo!
This performance was just such a pleasure to watch and listen. Well done!
The vibraphone is a Yamaha YV520C. Just got it a few weeks ago, and I really like it. Thanks for commenting! :D

Bravo! Entertaining tune! So delicate and elegant.
I can see myself laying at the side of my huge infinity pool, sipping an adult bev and chillin' to this!
:D
lemme set the scene i have in my head rn while listening to this:
it's, like, 11am, and you're in a department store, not exactly sure what you're looking for.
the shelves are completely empty, in fact, the whole store has nothing but empty shelves and racks...but, there's a single frying pan hanging on one of the hooks.
you've completed zoned out while staring at the pan. this is playing in the background
you're ok, you've just kinda lost yourself. this music took you away.
Beautifully done!
I love vibraphone in jazz
Andre DeGrenier I am using the Innovative Rattan Series RS30 Medium-Hard Marimba/Vibraphone Mallet which I purchased from Steve Weiss.
This song makes me feel like I'm in a Hiroshi Nagai illustration... You are outstanding, and I'm so happy I've found your channel! keep the good work :) :)

this the shit they play on the weather channel
And elevators
and we still love it
Only to a shithead.
If only you could appreciate the skill that goes into it and understand the improv that's going on...I guess not.
Well it's not the musician's fault if you are too dumb to understand this genre.
Really well done, man. The next time I'm at a lounge in the tropics, I'll think of you.
I don't know this type of music what so ever... but I freaking love this instrument. I would definitely love learning how to play the vibra phone. Very good video! Respect.
Wowsers. That was AMAZING
Cuz you are Amazing! ♡ JoAnn
Good stuff! I agree with the other vibist, Salim. I also play vibes and thought he did a very nice job! The man has done some time, in the shed and it shows. I also do a version of Blue Bossa. Good work man, I'm right there with you! I enjoyed it!
Beautiful. Love it. Thanks for using two mallets. Looks cool. Thank you for sharing.

Hey, man; Not Bad At All. Nicely balanced, good tempo, not overdone. I can dig a good improv.
+ropanueva Thanks! Glad you liked it!
KILLED IT I played this part before soooo fun
Very nice thank you.
Bravo!
that was really awesome bro !
This is insane. I want to learn vibraphone.
+Alex Kelsh Heh, thanks man! To be honest, it's a pretty easy instrument to learn. If you already know music, all you gotta do is get the wrist technique down lol
+Isaac Parks (MusicMan) Yeah I am a jazz pianist and saxophonist. I am mesmerized by the sound of the vibraphone.
+Alex Kelsh You need to watch Gary Burton.
+Alex Kelsh Stupid me I did and sold them in favour of a tenor sax regreted it ever since !!!!
+talbotvanman Theres a happy PS to this Ive just ordered a new set of vibes
cant wait to get back behind those bars again should never have given them
up at 82 years of age getting a bit breathless blowing the tenor sax !!
I really enjoyed it!
I love the vibraphone when I listen to jazz. It's one of those instruments, like the Hammond Organ, that gives life to a song.
It seems to me very complex to be played with those two mallets per hand. Is it that difficult?
4 mallet grip is pretty easy actually once you get the hang of it!
If a Denny's played this as background music ppl would be like: "Wow... I don't think I can afford to eat at this place!"
とても上手ですね!!👍💓
あんな早い連符憧れます...💭🙂
Very good
Well done !
