The better thing would be to give him somewhere to stay and a job and a change to get clean from any drugs or anything like that.

I was homeless in streets of Toronto for 3 days in grade 11 when I left home because of problems with my parents. I didn't eat anything for those 3 days and was carrying 3 heavy bags; it was also winter, every night was under -20 and I kid you not, I kid you not, I almost froze to death, not to mention how hungry and thirsty and depressed and ashamed of myself I was. This was 5 years ago. I ended up going back home but I lied to my parents and told them I was at a friends, because I didn't want them to know what I truly went through.

This is sad and I can't help but feel for them. He's correct they are simply people and we shouldn't judge how they got there. Being homeless in this FRIDIG city is punishment enough.

Shelters need to be redesigned and among other things. Key part of the problem is that some of homeless would rather deal with the elements of winter than go into a shelter. This guy said himself. More than once. Or maybe he doesn’t like abiding by the rules at a shelter?
What is point of the city just clearing it for him to move right back to the same spot!?

Someone should drive the 15 people sleeping in Rosedale Valley to 28 Sussex Drive - it is a nice heated mansion that apparently is vacant and not good enough for our current PM to live in he and his family apparently live in the Governor General's Guest House lol.

If there is room in shelters then sleeping on the street should be illegal.
Rent these people rooms, do what it takes, but we can't let it get worse.

Every department of government has a budget, Citizenship Immigration Canada has a budget set aside for refugees and asylum seekers. Stop blaming refugees for all the ills of society. If everyone would open up their wallets and doors, especially the super wealthy in this country and yes that also includes Trudeau and EVERYBODY who is capable of helping, our little piece of the planet would be a little bit more ideal.

they have a budget set aside for refugees and asylum seekers lol. Do you know what the purpose of a budget is or how one is created you troll? Budgets for anything in life are based on evidence to forecast projections. Lol Trudeau's tweet that welcomes all was pure show and not evidence based. All he did was declare Canada's borders open (very similar to Don Cherry's you people comment - we know what both of them mean) and now we have all the world's illegal migrants going to Mexico or the US and then either hitchhiking or flying to Canada to claim asylum despite there being no threat to their lives in the US and them having financial resources if they can afford to fly. They get put up in hotels long before they start paying taxes while many home grown Canadians who lost their jobs and experiencing tough times paid income and sales taxes in this country during their entire existence to date are hustling on the streets sleeping in tents, atm corridors and bus shelters hoping to see the light for another day. Disgusting stop blaming the rich for Trudeau Liberal and frankly NDP stupidity which is a mental illness spreading nationwide. Lol Ontario NDP want to make Ontario a sanctuary province and the Federal NDP actually endorse open borders.

@@Sam19509 I guess you are the spokeperson for the wealthy. So everyone who made their fortunes at the back of the working Canadians and immigrants does not morally have the obligation to help its fellow Canadians and anyone who is here. Before I had kids, i volunteered a huge amount of my time in shelters and some of my little money to charities to help, as an individual what have you done for your fellow Canadians. Calling me a troll when I personally hustle with the homeless. I say blame the wealthy, they put their wealth before their fellow Canadians. Good to know they at least have you to speak for the wealthy.
