I just wanted to thank you for this video. Lately I've been using Moleskine watercolor sketchbook but I decided to give this one a try. And it's amazing. It holds great amounts of water and erasing. Behaves really great with watercolors and has a nice texture. Not to rough but also not ideally smooth. Perfect, so thank you because without this video I wouldn't find this product.
I love that your local art store does trade ins. I often find that missing from the art sector. I have a box of inktense pencils sitting with me because I don’t quite enjoy it. There is no store I know here in the UK that will actually trade those in
While Amazon does sell Stillman and Birn journals, the hard cover journals they sell have spiral binding. They carry the larger one you bought in the soft cover only.
Do you like the Stillman and Birn journals? I am not a big fan of spiral journals so that is good to know. The spiral gets in my way. Thanks Janet for the info.
s.ranellearts I do like the Stillman and Birn journals. I have the zeta in the landscape design and the delta in the portrait size. Both are softcover. Wetpaintart.com sells a large selection of them.
Thanks again Janet. I am really trying to finish the journals I am using now before I really get into using my new ones. I don't have the best record of completing my projects so that is a goal of mine. I have given up trying to create the perfect journal.
Do the pages have two different textures on each of a page? Like, one side is cold press and the other is smooth? My Strathmore watercolor sketchbook is like this and I hate it

Hugh Nguyen i have a larger version of the blue stillman and birn and the paper seems to be the same on both sides. It is a very thick paper
