Hi there, I just had to make a comment about home dopplers I hope you don't mind. I'm a midwife and see women all the time who believe a fetal heart Doppler is some sort of reassurance if they're unsure of how their baby is, but it should absolutely not be used for this. Please do not use the Doppler to reassure you that your baby is okay, if you feel baby's moments have reduced or changed, please see your midwife/maternity unit straight away instead of listening into your baby's heart beat.I realise it's lovely to hear it, but it's absolutely vital you do not rely on this as anything but a nice thing to hear.It takes years if training for us to understand and interpret the sound of a baby's heart beat, and the presence of a heart beat does not mean your baby is okay. I apologise if this seems a bit scary, but it's more important that you understand how important it is that you don't use this as reassurance as I know a lot of people will see this and feel like they need to invest in one x

When I first found out I was pregnant and no one knew, your Channel Mum weekly videos came out. I messaged you on Instagram when I was just over 6 weeks pregnant, worried that I wasn't sick yet and that it was a bad sign. You reassured me in a message and made me feel much better when I couldn't talk to anyone else as it was a big secret - so thank you! The sickness came! And I'm 24 weeks tomorrow. So happy to be sharing your journey here now too. I first starting watching/following you just after Daisy was born xxx

I know I’m WAAAAAAAY late but congrats on your now 3 yr old baby! I’m 9 weeks 4 days today and the sickness has been SO REAL! Ugh I’m in the thick of it and it sucks! It’s so hard to eat ANYTHING rn and I know I NEED to eat but everytime I do, I feel like I’m gonna puke and more than half the time I DO puke 🤮 and I dry heave EVERY morning shortly after I wake up. I started getting moments of relief the day before I turned 9 weeks and I’m PRAYING by 10 weeks I’ll be feeling much better but idk 🤷🏼‍♀️ I hate to complain too cause I wanted this so bad and so many women CANT get pregnant that I just feel bad complaining but I’m literally SO miserable physically rn 😢 I’m sure it’ll get better though. I must say though that being pregnant at 36 is SO MUCH HARDER than it was at 17 and 21…idk if it’s just cause I’m older or if it’s because I MIGHT hopefully be having a girl this time and I have 2 boys. Idk 🤷🏼‍♀️ but i feel SO blessed to be pregnant but I would KILL for some relief.

Our booking in appointment in Northern Ireland takes 2-3 hours we get our first scan there too. Crazy long when you have other kiddies to get looked after 🙈
