I read several stories in the comments before reading this one and I could not stop laughing xD

Fuck dude, that was such a mood killer. XD
"Why can't I fly like them?" The child asked.
"Someday. When the world is safe for you and I. But for now. Papa will carry you."
"I'm too big for that," she giggled.
Aww adorable. "Until the last day, father will always carry you, my dear one."
"Perhaps you're right. And I just refused to notice." The father says letting a tear escape from his eye

Sounds like my father 😂❤️
"Father, what are those things in the sky?" The young girl asked, looking to the winged creatures who flew above them.
"Those are bats, dear one. They travel by night like us." He looked down to her as he held her small hand.
"Oh. Why are there so many of them?" She looked up to him as she asked this.
"Because they travel in big numbers so the bigger ones can protect the young ones and guide them to where they're going."
"Oh, like a big family?" Her dark eyes shined.
He smiled. "Yes, dear. Like a family."
Beautiful.
You gave me feels
Now I know what I’m going to say when my daughter ask me about the bats.😊

this hit me like a stake through the heart
The picture makes me think of a vampire teaching his dhampir child how to use her abilities. She can summon the bats to her just like her father can. He wonders though if she can turn into one like he can.

Hey guys here is a new Dark emotional piece called "A Fathers Lesson". It is based on the idea of the girls father introducing her to her familiar. I was going to title it something more fitting for that premise but went with A Fathers Lesson as the song has more of an emotional feel. Incredible artwork again by Abigail Larson! The final version of this piece will be released on a future album. Hope you all enjoy it, swing it a like if you did and have a great weekend!
Only you can think this Mr mistrious
I love you so much...
Love this piece, man. !
Judging by the picture the girl is a future witch and the familiar is a demon bat
Two amazing artists
-Do you hear them, they talk to you.
-But papa, they tell me no never walk to the village
-Not with your red eyes and pointed ears darling
-How to make it look normal like you?
-I will teach you when you can reach the cookie jar in the living room
-But you put it on the highest shelf!
-Then grow yourself little one
-I can just ask the baby bat to help me then
-Now that's cheating
-I really want to see the carnival papa
-One day, I promise I will take you there, dear
-Promise?
-Promise
but when the time comes, Father is no longer there
The promise has been broken.

"Papa? Why must people like us die?"
The small child looked up at her father with tear stained cheeks and red eyes.
"Because, dear one... " The father replied, holding his precious daughter close, "People like us bring fear to those who live in the light, because we must remain in the dark. They misunderstand us...They kill what they do not understand..."
He wiped the tears from her face before she turned to look at the heap of ash before them
"She was misunderstood then...?" The young child asked innocently
The father swallowed the lump in his throat, allowing one tear to fall down his ghostly pale face... The horrid memory of the woman, he loved most dearly, tied out in the middle of a vast field, screaming for mercy as the Sun began to burn her body away...
"Yes, my dear.. Your mother was misunderstood..."
Edit: This literally came into my mind whilst listening to this. It's a beautiful piece.

"Father? What are they afraid of?"
"...The unknown."
"father? Do you miss me like you miss mommy?"
The male looked up for a brief moment at the sky littered with Bats, stars, Empty darkness while his leathered shoes stood upon the dewy earth of green itself.
"Well of course My dear, It is difficult to not be able to watch you grow up as like I did, as let alone I did..."
The child looked down, In question of her father's words Looking for an answer, anything beneath The little time they had together.
"Father? What is my destiny without you."
The man looked silently at his daughter trying to grasp her father's cold hand, So close yet not close enough just as life and death itself.
"My dear, You determine your future not I myself for I am apart of your death not of your life, once you turn to dust you shall be embraced in my arms once more, until then you must Be brave, carve a path, no carve a statue, make art of your life make it a canvas and once you too pass let those After you, your children, and the world see of what you've done."
"But father.....how?"
The Gentleman smiled Gracefully But yet again with tradgedy amogsnt those eyes.
"Only you shall know my dear...my time has come, For you my dear are the next beyond me, Be a good girl, And become a beautiful creation of life it is all i ask of you."
Slowly his body turned from ash to ash, Dust to dust, life to death as the girl felt tears spiral down her Eyes In silence, loneliness is all she could think of and yet embrace.
All the little girl knew was to Make her father proud, Until death let's them reunite, until death does it's part.

The path doesn't get cold or gray when you lose a father you looked up to with love. It's your insides. The incident will leave a void, the depths of which is different from person to person; affection to affiction. But, No matter how you choose to cope with life later; taking on responsibilities, a sense of ambition for your Papa's sake, self-interest, or any other distraction, a part of you that keeps dreaming about your father, randomly finding a familiar face like his, in a big crowd will never cease for the rest of your life.
Call it looking at the glass as 'half-empty' if you like. I call it, this life.. Playing through the pain.
You definitely should write a book about it!!! I WILL DEFINITELY READ IT 🤩🤩🤩!!!
This poem reminds me of what my dad had to go through.
And here's me the pampered failure.
In a serene town, a father, known for his quiet demeanor, decided to communicate a profound lesson to his daughter through the language of music. Composing a piece of music that resonated with the complexities of life, he invited her into their dimly lit living room. As the haunting melody filled the space, it conveyed a spectrum of emotions-joy, sorrow, resilience, and acceptance. Without uttering a single word, the father's fingers danced on the piano keys, unraveling the unspoken stories of his soul.
The daughter, seated beside him, absorbed the powerful notes with a mix of curiosity and understanding. The music became a conduit for shared experiences, wrapping around them like a cocoon of emotions. When the last notes lingered in the air, the father looked into his daughter's eyes, imparting a silent wisdom that transcended the need for spoken language.
A poem I thought of when I first heard this wonderful song:
Through deafness she had, she could not hear her father
Who had screamed for her
Yet it was too late
On the streets of her home
The poor girl meet the end of her fate
Tears were shedding, screams were heard, and sadness grew
The girl was on the ground
Her body was damaged
Though they tried very hard, they could not keep the young girl’s life
Days turned to weeks
Weeks turned to months
Then to years
He misses her so much
And wishes he protected
The father swears to protect his family
Even if it means he will lose his life
Those are definitely Gomez and Wednesday. I love this drawing
when they said: “OoOoOo”
i felt that.
“Papa, what are they?” Asked the daughter of the creature of night. She looked up in wonder as the winged creatures flew so freely in the night sky. Her father smiled so gently.
“They are bats my dear,” He said so softly. “they are our closest friends during this time of day.” He let a slight whistle and one flew gently over to his daughter. She smiled so happily the sight of such a gentle creature. “They shall be your familiar, your companion to watch over you.”
“Why can’t you Papa,” His daughter asked as she looked up with a confused gaze. “won’t you continue to watch over me?” Her father only gave a bitter smile as the sad truth.
“I shall, even when I may not be there,” He answered her. “just like your mother...” He she’s a single year of blood and quickly wiped it away.
“Like mama,” She asked, a small smile as she had her new Familiar landed on her shoulder.
“Yes, like mama,” He said as he guided her off. “Come now, we must hurry and see her before sunrise.” He leaded her off to a hidden place, a grove with countless roses, and a single gravestone in the center.
Dayum ppl be writing stories down here and getting deep
“What are those black birds flying in the sky, Papa?” The little girl asks.
“They are called bats, dear; creatures of the night.” the father responds. A few of the bats flew around her father’s form, amazing her.
Hesitantly, the little girl extends her left arm. Soon enough, one of the bats perch on her arm and falls back, allowing itself to hang from her arm upside down.
Curiously, she opens her free right hand, which allows another, smaller bat to rest on her palm.
She smiles at the bats and up at her father, who then smiles back.
The little girl then proceeds to grab the bat perched on her arm and forms it into a stiff posture, she curls up the smaller bat into a ball and throws it into the air.
She hits the smaller bat with the stiff bat, and the sound of a sharp thwack and tiny bones cracking filled the air. She giggles with delight as she watches the black ball soar into the distance, its sisters scrambling after her.
She drops the formerly stiff bat into the ground. It doesn’t seem to be moving anymore and only remained limp. She stared at it inquisitively, then with an innocent grin, gazed back up at her father, who was pinching the bridge of his nose.
“Not those kinds of bats, dear.”
Oh my 😂😂😂😂❤️
Well that was amusing to read 😭😂👌
I'm just appreciating all the wholesome short stories being shared in the comments
This is crucial for me, my father died when I was 17! So young that I could not cry that day two weeks before Christmas,
Now after I'm 20 I cry myself with no hold. He always wanted me to become the best and raised me well mannered.
However life gives unexpected turns and breakdowns.
It never stops it only keeps moving.
"Papa..."
"....Little one?" The empty man questioned with suken eyes.
Five little fingers grasped at the soaked material above her silent heart.
"My heart burns....I feel like the creater of fire." The father startled, looked down to see the chid with a heavy frown and confused tilt of her her head as she gazed at the noisy night.
"It burns...but it does not hurt me. Papa...it wants to..."
The child turned her bewildered eyes to her father. "Destroy. Destroy the hurt."
With a withered smile he knelt to her height, gently grased her small hand clenched against her silent heart. Carefully, he pried open the pale stiffs and layed an endulging kiss on each blood soaked finger.
Gazing into her quaking eyes brimmed with tears he swept her limp hair from her face and gave his most enchanting smile "Then Destroy Little One. Destroy till your heart no longer burns, till there is nothing but satisfaction."
Slowly he guided her hand to the bottom of the hill, where a ignorant army stood over the ruins of their only home....where the pieces of the her mother lay strewn.
Cold lips pressed her fevered ear, wispering "If they have come to end something they deem monstrous then why not show them the reason they should not be so brazen when facing one." An endulging kiss warmed her icy cheek before encouraging "Burn."
From five pale fingers, caressed by her Father shot a storm of fire that was festering within her.
Father and daughter watched as night turned to dusk and burning corpses learned to fear monsters.
Girl: Father why do we never leave the castle
Father: Because you are weak and not yet ready
Girl: But I am ready
Father: *closes book looks at the girl and summons a bat before sending it to her* Then kill this creature. Drain it dry, until it's veins collapse in on it's self
Girl: what no, I can't do that...it has done nothing wrong to me
Father: Precisely my point, you are still weak, and humans...they won't show you Mercy...so you best learn to be as cruel my dear. Talk to me again when you kill this bat...

I watched as Stefan howled in pain-his body covered in his own blood, his eyes in tears, his wounds etched all over his once glorious body. I stood my ground and bit my tongue as he continued screaming willing myself to stop going after him.
"You did well, my dear Maleficent," my father said.
I looked at my father as he gazed at me proudly and nod.
This was the right thing to do, I tell myself. It was meant to be like this.
I bit my tongue harder until I taste blood. I silently heaved hoping that my father won't notice as I will my tears not to fall.
I failed.
I felt my father's strong hands grabbing me on my wrist. It will leave new bruises but not as much as what I had given Stefan.
"Stop being weak!" My father screamed but I couldn't help it. I felt my tears falling.
Next thing I knew, I was lying on the ground, my back hurts, my wrist bruised, and left ankle broken after my father pushed me.
"It was just a pet! I told you to make him your servant!"
"He was loyal to me! I made him strong! We were strong together!" I screamed back.
"You made him dependent to you!" He kicked me in the gut in more fiery rage.
I stood up. Looking at my father in the eye with pure anger. "I taught him how to love! He ... He also taught me the same!"
Another kick in the gut. My eyes watered in pain as I try to get up again but failed. My father's strong hands grabbed one of my horns and lifted me off ground. It was too painful as if my horns are being pulled out. I wanted to scream. To kick my father. To push him to his death but I am weak.
He moved close until his lips touched my right ear and whispered, "You taught him how to love and he taught you how to be weak."
Seconds later, his grip left my horns and my body was flying towards my dying Stefan.
"Love makes you weak," he said.
Everything hurts. I was disoriented. I was just a few inches away from Stefan and although my gaze is blurry, I can see him pushing himself towards me. I couldn't even lift my fingers properly but tried to crawl towards him.
I sat up when I was close enough while Stefan lay his head on my lap.
My father was on the other side of the circle. Mocking me in his eyes. Daring me to show my strength and power.
"Kill your pet and start the ritual," I remember him saying earlier as he gave me a long knife-before I started torturing my dear Stefan.
I looked at my father in the eye and for the last time felt Stefan's blood-soaked fur. His once healthy black fur is now sticky with blood. One of his glowing red eyes are missing.
I looked at my father straight in the eye and although everything in my body hurts, I held my practiced regal grace.
In a snap, green magic embraced Stefan and his last howl was heard through the night.
Goodbye, my dear wolf. I will always keep the memory when I was 6 and my father got you as a present.
Stefan was ashes carried by the wind.
I looked at my father straight in the eye and conjured another magic. I struck him a lightning straight to his heart.
"You were right, father," I tell him. "Love makes us weak so you have to follow Stefan soon after."
My father replied before all his breath left him, "I am proud of you, Maleficent. Happy 8th birthday and good job, my girl."

What is it with all this (about 90%) allegedly sad music on RUclips? It's all not sad, but rather light, beautiful, relaxing and uplifting. Make the piece sad, if you want to proclaim it's a sad one. It's so hard actually finding a sad and dark piece. This was beautiful.
A Father's Lesson.
But is the Father teaching the lesson,
_Or being taught?_
Oh No...
everyone making nice stories
Me thinking what happened to his right foot
For years I used to ask myself what's my music taste actually ? , now I finally now.
Father taught me a lesson, grim and dark, tearing at my soul and letting it dissapate like ashes in a cold sea. Oh how I wish I could live in a mellow and blissful ignorance.
Wow pure🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥i really felt it......
this song is my biggest comfort
Using this to write the story of a young sorceress who lost her father, a mad man, for knowledge and ambition. Although for as crazy and consumed as he was, he still loved her and showed the power of magic in a positive way, leaving a huge legacy for her to carry and use it for the goodness
Still writing it?

It feels like the father is teaching his daughter on how to use her powers correctly even her mother was killed by the same people they choose not to hurt and coexist with
this music made me think of a kind vampire, making his best to make his daughter feel loved and happy, and shield her from the outside world. one day while they were walking around a city they saw three kids, who were around the same age as her, who buried a kitten except for her head and are using her as a shooting target, he killed them all with no hesitation, the cute little vampiress started crying in shock while asking him why, he replied "they were corrupted, they should be erased for bullying the weak, remember that my child" than he turned around mumbling " they killed her, if only they all just disappeared " the cute little vampiress grew to be a cold-blooded queen and that was how the human race met its end
I could listen to the song all day. I it so beautiful and relaxing.
Whenever i feel bored i come to Peter grundy's comment section to read poet and life lessons with exceptional music. What more I want.
Peter, I keep coming back to this even just to let my ears relish in that opening theme again and again. It never gets old. The orchestration for this is absolutely brilliant- it's not too overwhelming (and I feel that some electronic composers overuse the lush bases) but this is so balanced and elegant to the very end. The programmatic element just adds to everything (but even if there was no descriptive title or beautiful art, I would've still been swept away to a mythical state of thinking). It deserves more love than it's getting. The voice re-entrance at 3:05 gave me chills and it is complimented so well with the alto activity. The orchestral reduction is done intentionally and with experienced taste. But hey- you already know all this. Please keep composing!
Thank you so much for the detailed kind words, it means a lot to hear such nice things. Thank you for appreciating it Ellie!
when your Dracula and you need to awkwardly explain to your step-daughter why mommy is gonna be acting a little differently from now on.
Father, I did not understand your words until it was too late,
Your larger fingers interlaced with mine,
With a warmth that promised protection and guidance,
'Beauty, life and wonder are in everything, it is yours to mould and nurture as long as you remember this.'
I believed you so until the world became barren and blighted,
The once pure rivers soaked in oil,
The butterflies ashen and blackened,
I began to see the world as a ruined canvas,
It had started with potential,
Yet I took from it and called it 'creation',
Blamed you for the poisoned seeds that I sowed,
You watched in despair as I lost sight of the beauty around me.
Father, I did not understand your words until it was too late.

I clicked on this, but went back because a thumbnail had gotten my attention. I expected the music to shut down, but I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that it kept running on a miniplayer. This is on PC, I didn't know that would happen, but I'm pleased that it did
Music can go deep inside our emotions, only it can express that feeling
No words to say,

Don't do what your father has done.
He has done terrible things.
He betrayed the trust of his master and his nation.
Follow the light side, son
My little angel, my little Skywalker.
This makes me feel things words cant describe
He will be remembered through the pain he caused to our hearts. He will be missed through the tears from our eyes when we will be scolded for being their blood. He will be hated through the crushed words from their mouths when they will be pissed off. There will be spaces in our hearts those never can be full fill by anyone. There will be words that will trigger us every night. There will be songs that will remind us his voice. There will be days when we will find ourselves hard to breath for the burdens we will be carrying.
