How, how, how has cycling media still not learned to not put spoilers in the highlight thumbnails?

Why do they take so much risk for a friendly 1 hour stage ? Crazy

What was risky? They were all giving each other space in the final, it appears.

Stretching his legs - getting ready for the next stages - trying to stick a breakaway move and get some seconds up in the field. Who knows? Either way a great stage

Training. 1hr flat chat, good tune up for the race in 3 days. They'll all coming out of "winter", so the fitness isn't there.

Other countries find the best parkours each year and give the citizens a chance to see the race live. I could think of 5 days of real climbs in northern nsw and southern Queensland that the teams would consider sending their best riders. Give our best so we get their best. Not a different philosophy. Here in Australia we have this silly invention called state competitiveness. I know Victoria holds a bunch of major sporting events hostage, otherwise no one would visit.
