Naval Battle of Vallecas 2024 💧⛵️

Hello! In today's video we delve into the Naval Battle of Vallekas, held in the Madrid neighborhood of Vallecas.
Its origin began in July 1981, during the Carmen festivities, with 40°C in the shade, the neighbors began to get wet with the fire hydrants to mitigate the heat. Which led to the first naval battle being held the following year with more than 3,000 participants.
In 2000, the Vallecas Marine Brotherhood was created, an organization that was in charge of removing the illegality of this festival, which had been prohibited since 1991. Each year it is celebrated in defense of a different social cause.
