- Welcome back to The Preppy Gardener channel! I’m Chip, and today I’m excited to share with you a special fall-themed episode. We’re starting the day at Sanders Nursery, where I’ll take you on a mini tour of some of my favorite fall plants and give you plenty of inspiration for your garden.
After the nursery tour, we’ll head back to the farm, where I’ll show you how I’m updating the entrance beds with some deer-resistant plants. I’ve chosen Lamb’s Ear and Caryopteris (Bluebeard) for their texture, fragrance, and ability to keep those pesky deer at bay.

I love the pine straw mulch! Great landscaping in the entry love your design.
Coming from Georgia, pine straw is all I ever used until moving away. I love it so much more than mulch. Great choice.

FRIENDS - I made a mistake in the video... I called my beautiful rose at the entrance gate by the WRONG name. That rose is the Peggy Martin Rose and how could I get that so messed up?! I LOVE the PM Rose! I had been working with the Lady Banks rose on a different planting (not released on video just yet) and my mind just didn't switch!🙃 Sorry for any confusion - but let's NOT get this rose confused because it is a Rock Star at the entrance! Sorry again for any confusion!!!😁
