If you put out a bird cage with food and water that budgie should fly right in. That is how I caught a loose one here. He rushed right in when the wild birds started to surround him. I'm surprised the wild birds have hurt him yet.

Chip, great job. I love everything you have done, and your new plans! I live in North Texas, SW of Gainesville, and I have been dealing with over 100 degree heat for the last month. Also lost two trees the end of May due to high winds and a tornado that missed us by a half mile. I need to make some adjustments to my flower beds, changing from shade to sun. In the meantime I am using patio umbrellas and some smaller umbrellas to shade those plants. What nursery are you at? I'm always looking for a new one to visit.❤
