I feel like it is really bad to heal as holy Paladin in low bracket…people don’t use defensive correctly and constantly line you. Also 0 peels when there are two melees are on you. Once we are behind in health it is so hard to comeback.also have to spend lots of cds to heal people who don’t use defensive or line you for so long and get low. I don’t how to play tbh.try hard to play passive but people just constantly dive in and force you to get in open spot and get cc.any tips for me

Hey Reece! Thanks for the video man, I am a 3k rogue sick of waiting for ques so decided to try holy pally just for shuffles.
I started playing ranged build and got to 1650 pretty quick but then started to lose some games. I looked up borngoods build and noticed everyone is playing melee wings, I watch his vods and I am like this is so fkn hard. I dropped all the way down 1200cr from a horrible losing streak, I just couldn't work out how to melee wings heal.
I watch your video today, I thought I had to be in melee range to make this build work... little did I know I can play it like a ranged hpal just with more burst healing.
Thank God because I just about to give up hpal after yesterday, today I climbed back from 1200cr to 1800cr playing your way. So much smoother and safer, Borngood plays right in the mix utilising crusader strike which is so much harder but his a God just like yourself.
Sorry for the rant but I actually really like this play style now.

i play rdruid, but this really helped. it was good to see the really defensive positioning required and it was important to hear what you said about druids throwing games by trying to push in for bash/clone. thanks!
No worries man, yeah I find healers often try to do too much a lot of the time, only rarely is it good to play completely offensive as a healer, once you master just doing your job and healing I think it’s fine to try and learn and understand when to implement offensive positioning but in solo shuffle where setting up is harder due to no voice, this offensive positioning is rarely better, you will win more games over a longer period of time just healing and trading cds well in a good position
Prolly biggest diff between 3s and solo shuffle is that you have to play more safe cause coordination just won't be the same. Good video. In 3s you prolly communicate more and can actually turn a cross map cc into something. But in solo shuffle it's, at least at low rating, just not worth as you point in the video. Rarely does anyone react and if they do it'll be a delayed reaction anyway.

Finally... I've been waiting for an actual Paladin guide for the past month. I've been messing up in both melee wings and caster builds. Caster build is bad, but melee wings I've been fighting in melee range. Now I know. Thank you for the guide.
Thanks so mucj for this guide. I had no idea paladins heal style before this video at all and was going 0/6 in my solo shuffles now I'm mostly going 3/3 rarely less than that but sometimes more and even 6/0 one time thanks to this guide.

so i can aura mastery spam heal in desperate times, cos most of the time theres a caster on my team and the kick reduction is rly beneficial for him. can play it depending on preference.

To answer your questions:
I advice you understand the classes you’re playing with, if 2 melee best to try to drag the people on you around the corner without kiting your melee so they are punished for training you by lining their healer. If 2 casters, it is better to stand far away from the pillar and allow your casters to peel and kill while nobody can line them. ( you want to avoid allowing the melee training you to line casters in your team, as it’s win win for them, creates too much value for the enemy team - if you do this you will certainly lose). In the instance that you Jane say a caster and a dps you must mix these playstyles together to create what you believe will have the best outcome depending on the circumstance(perhaps you’re with a shadow priest and have no bubble, better to stand in your priests line and allow him to swap), perhaps your with rogue and mage.. dragging off the dps behind a pillar or far away from the healer may allow easier and stronger goes. I can not articulate every circumstance through text as there is too many variables. It comes down to experience and trial and error. I would say this is the hardest part of wow to master, but developing a good understanding of it should be easy following this guidance ( easy to learn, hard to master) and ultimately it comes down to experience and hours of learning to get in a rhythm of things. A good way to practice this would be to write down what worked for you vs certain comps, what didn’t, eventually you will see patterns and be able to identify what will statistically have more chance of winning, eventually, memorising it.
With cool down rotation, it is fairly simple, if both use everything you will most likely use bubble. If one player uses all cds and another doesnt, Identify can you get away with lesser cds, is your team peeling/using cds. Never trinket if you think you will be immediately restunned or unable to heal the damage. I always try to line my 2min wings with their 2 min cds. I try to line bops with feral incarn/ deaths mark/ abom limb. I’ll sac small cool downs and pumps if no cc to avoid with it.
It is often important to note that if you are a potential kill target, but they start on your. Say shadow priest team mate.. it would be better to let him disperse first rather than bubble save him first. As bubbling for him first while he has disperse now makes you a kill target, where as if he dispersed you have bubble for him next go and can bubble if they swap you, allowing the game to play out longer.
I press holy light in rare instances I can cast it. The cast is too long. Only reason I don’t bother spamming it, it’s less hps, easier to be interrupted.

I absolutely agree with the positioning guidance. Definitely hard to master. I'm feeling that now, especially since my whole team needs to figure it out together. I play with a assassation rogue/warrior and spriest. I'll talk more with them about how to handle our positions.
Also, your recommendations on trades are helpful. Though, I need to download that weak aura package you recommended to make sure I know what is being popped. I have a lot that were popular from SL, but not all for DF. Knowing bubble CAN be a fair trade is encouraging. Sometimes I just simply feel bad for bubbling early when they pop everything, but it's wiser to see it as a trade, not as a "hold on to as long as possible." Then I typically bubble at 10%, have to heal up, or it gets dispelled and I die. I'll try the trades you recommended.
For who should pop their CDs first: that makes a lot of sense. I think I get myself into trouble a lot popping my CDs to get to a teammate who's in trouble, only to get swapped and dropped. This is another great learning point I'm going to talk with my team about. Good stuff.
A couple more questions, if you're willing:
1) Barrier of Faith. I've seen some top tier NA pallys running it. Worth it? Seems hard to get so many hardcasts off, but maybe I save it for when I'm at a safe distance? Or just not worth the mana?
2) Hpal viability. Seeing you so high rated is really encouraging. My team and I thought hpal was so bad this season, we were wondering if I should just go ret. But I prefer holy, and want to master it instead of relearning ret, only to relearn holy in another patch when we are buffed. It seems like I should just stick with it and overcome the meta? What do you think?

reply to 2) its viable in solo shuffle but terrible in 2s, decent in 3s, i think you should always stick to it - when they buff it you will enjoy being good at a good class. if they nerf it, the hardship is worth enduring, a valuable life lesson i reckon, can't give up on things when it gets bad (thats how i see it lol). if u just spam reroll ull end up learning a bunch of classes averagely but not master anything, imagine understanding and learning paladin now and how fun itll be when it does eventually get good. the classes you would have rerolled nerfed.

What bindings do you use to target party members? I feel theres so many bindings and targetting your teamates is just so important, atm im clicking them and Its just not good enough :P

How do you handle being trained? especially by warriors or priests that just never let off the gas until you have to bubble then insta take it off. That's my largest issue at the moment I just can't seem to catch back up.

Reece how you set up combat text so you can see heal numbers on yourself in the middle of screen? In combat section is "scrolling combat for self". but then you see at bottom all those annoying procs and such. Or is it an addon?

1) Do you have in options "show only dispellable debuffs" toggled on? (if yes, will it overwrite BigDebuffs?)
2) can you share your bigdebuffs settings with me/us?
3) I see you are not tracking forbearance on party frames, i find myself clicking BOP while he still has forbearance, why arent you tracking it?

Wait so you put beacon on the person your currently healing the most? Usually I see others and myself self cast beacon but use Beacon on main target and use Beacon of Faith on yourself?

Nice video I'll have to try holy paladin again. The problem I had when I played it for a bit is it seemed during wings I can do huge amounts of HPS and then outside of that my heals just do absolutely nothing. I'll need to get crit/vers gear as I believe he's all haste based, but I don't think that's the issue. Any suggestions?
Watch my vod in slowed speed, identify my way of healing, apply it to practice.( perhaps run bgs until in the flow of said identification of rotation). Practice and practice until you’re dominating healing in bgs, should be top healing most games by a significant amount.

Honestly. That's all I can say just these Talents and Crit Vers Boys, nothing else to it!
yo, id like to say now im playing a mix of crit/haste, i find it better, for example, one of my paladins is 18% crit 18% haste. i think u get best of both worlds like this.. try it out man, is rly nice

Currently my issue is mana, im going OOM while the other healer has 60-80%, and the dps/myself getting globaled while i have 24% vers with my defensives, no idea how you arent getting nuked, its like im on another version of the game altogether some times.
I can't seem to climb as paladin. I feel I play quite decent, clawing 4-2's against rdruid and evoker, until the lobby figures out they just need to train me to win. Especially with a disc priest on the other side I just become irrelevant. Can't use sac on myself, bop gets purged, bubble gets md and 2 melees are constantly bashing at me. I feel it's just a hard counter and the only reason Pala can win vs this is if they just don't know they need to train Pala.
paladin is very strong atm, the only lobbies you should lose is when there is a resto druid+sub rogue or resto druid+ret in the same lobby IMO.
@@Reeceboss You're 100% right. I just wasn't playing well enough. Looked at yours and some other guides again and yesterday I went 30+ games without going below 3/3! Only one game I lost 0/6 because the whole lobby 100% focused me, still having trouble with that :P.

I get destroyed as holy , sure I need more practice but the heals are so low after like 2 minutes of dampening I can never keep up with the consistent damage being put up by classes like warriors, rogues and demon hunters

i'm using a mira-s mouse, keybinding the most forward facing side mouse-button for party1, the side button facing closest to me, party2, and f1 on the keyboard for my self.

No way this build works in NA. Sorry but nah,comp is all about burst,and no way in hell does a low flash of light/holy light save anyone from burst. Casting just doesnt work in this meta. Ontop of that,casting from so far away literally makes your mastery useless.
