Hey Kade. The Cuprea's are quite rewarding if you can get your hands on one, and pot them correctly. I got one from Thailand last year and it has grown rapidly and is quite large now with 7 huge dinner plate sized leaves. They do tend to be prone to spider mites, but nothing uncontrollable. Same thing with the silver swords, they grow rapidly as well and if you haven't seen the leaves in person, they are really quite a bit more striking compared to photos.
@@kima8670 Nothing super special. Its in a 6" terra-cotta pot, potted in a sandy aroid blend, and gets consistent water with seaweed extract, molasses, and a 1/4 strength diluted orchid fertilizer. Rinse it off once a week in the shower, and is kept right next to a south facing window so it gets a lot of direct sun in the morning and very bright indirect sun for the remainder of the day.
@@kima8670 Also if you haven't had it very long (less than 6 months) then do not expect rapid leaf growth. It can take a while for them to settle and root into their new homes. Just don't try to force anything.
@@GrowingSouth I'm sure I just need to be more patient! Mine is in around soil, I water with Liqui-Dirt, and it's next to a humidifier and under a grow light near a west-facing window.
I LOVE my cream splash. It is my favorite plant by far right now. It's beautiful and has grown like a weed. I got a small cutting from an Etsy shop in September and it's already filling out a 4 inch pot. I could stare at it all day. Seriously, get one now! It was reasonably priced and has brought me much happiness! (Well, reasonably priced for today's world where we pay $20 + for a cutting...it's all relative). I also have a teeny cuprea (that I paid way too much money for, it looked larger in the picture) that hasn't done anything but is very cute, and a hastatum with 2 leaves that is very pretty but also just sitting there. :o) I know it's almost December but some of my other plants don't seem to realize that! I got a very large bare root Raven ZZ a few months ago--it was gorgeous and the root system was huge--planted it in soil (well-draining), watered it one time, and it got root rot. I'm trying to save it now. I also love my Florida Ghost. I got mine from Root Greenhaus along with several other things in Sept. and they are all doing great. I was lucky and had a great experience with them.
Yeah, I wouldn’t mind having one of those. I think they are just way too hyped up, though. I dont know if I’d ever pay that price. The variegated monstera for example has so much more visual appeal in my opinion
The introduction to this video had me in stitches, i loved the honesty, great video
Most I like too! I’m not paying those high prices. I have lots of patience 😃
Great list and I love your sense of humour 😂
The Picasso is also on my want list. Syngonium erythrophyllum and chiapense are at the top of my list.
Prices has really inflated a lot that it’s impossible to own those plants. Nice video. Stay connected.

I am looking forward to getting one soon hopefully!
What do you do for it to grow rapidly?? Mine looks fine but hasn't done a thing.

Sounds like you have a great collection!! Glad to hear you are having relatively good experiences with these plants minus the root rot on your ZZ!
How about the pink princess philodendron? That one seems impossible to find..
