Amber and Nathan, Thank you for the wonderful talk. I will be picking up Nathan's book for sure. As an outsider looking into the world of charitable giving, I have come to many of the same conclusions.

speaking on the homeless preventing non profits. with the amount of the non profits advertising helping the homeless, and people seeing homeless constantly running the streets, donors of a community non profit are not seeing any progress. most of the money goes to nonprofit employees. creating a codependent system for the homeless. ultimately creating a toxic cycle between non profits, local police, and jail/ court systems.
the new thing seems housing first. i think chronically homeless needs employment and sheltering should go hand and hand. treat the homeless as adult feral children.
i have a plan trying to find the right board members. but my plan requires a lot of money to get started but will be a system for self funding. I am learning how to combine a way to have a for profit business and be a found of the non profit i am trying to create. how to positively efficiently and effectively turn the homeless against the homeless and start sheltering in a level up system starting in the woods with organized tent systems, sheds to micro city tiny houses.

I would love to have a copie of that book, and the other books he has talked about, they were like three.
I will be glad if i can get a way to get them. How much and how can they be delivered in Uganda?

Charities have been getting away with theft for decade. How much do the CEO of these organizations make? How much money collected go directly to the cause? The public has gotten smart to the corrupt. Who funded this video?

It sounds like you may have had a negative experience with a nonprofit at some point, and I'm sorry to hear that. The truth is, the vast majority of nonprofits (nearly 9 out of 10) are very small, community led organizations started and led by passionate people who are consistently underpaid according to salary data (or not paid at all, working as volunteers). Funds donated to a cause generally all go into that cause - the infrastructure required to run the organization (you can't feed people if you can't keep your lights on), the program costs and more. If you've ever been to certain museums, worked with or benefited from a school program supported by a PTA, seen a play at a community theater, or any other number of services, you've been affected by a nonprofit. :)
There's some great content and research out there if you'd like to learn more. Dan Pallotta's talk "The Way You Think About Charity Is Dead Wrong" works to dispel some of the myths out there, for example. Happy to recommend others.
