i'm happy to see you extend your range of farm equipment. this will save labor and time and make life more productive and enjoyable. also most men. me included, really like operating machinery. i respect your talents that range on many topics, and hazard that you were a very successful student. i admire that you consider success as a normal. best wishes to you, desi and everyone you love.
I love seeing you use this equipment and it's so awesome of your neighbors helping the younger generation too. They have been a blessing since you guys moved there. Great support team. Love both of .
It may belie my age but I can recall in pre-teen years on my grandparent's small farm when hay was cut with a horse drawn cutter, raked also with horse drawn rake and loaded onto a horse drawn wagon by hand with pitch forks. The hay was then unloaded with pitch forks into the barn hayloft. No tractors. David's ingenuity in getting the tractor and old attachments to be useful again is awesome. Square bales as opposed to the huge round kind are much easier to handle and cheaper once you get your equipment all working . 👍👍👍🏆🙏🏻❤
You can see how excited David actually is when working on these machines.😊 Most of the times I don’t even know what he’s making but still fun to watch.
Excellent job Devid! Some idea... i have seen small gas/oxygen bottles for sale in some of "technical" shops, that would be answer to your metal heating problem... Those are like "one time use" bottles, so when they got empty, thats it. But those contain gas for multiple times to heat something. And no need to get them refilled. The other option would be buying a propane/ oxygen system, but it is expensive to get that with all needed equipment.
Yeah it's not very good at raking everyone suggested me to get an actual rake and called this one more of tedder but we had a limited budget this summer!
I don't know that much about old Soviet rakes. But this one looks decent, there are some models that are just scrap value at best and have a very funny design.

And, just like that, a new piece of equipment for the farm without breaking the bank account. I am truly jealous of your skills.
Your construction skils Devid are Great ❤ Micke Sweden

I love those old tractors. Very similar to an old Deutz tractor I have. Best built tractor I've ever owned.

I see you have lupines blooming - love them!! You’re so lucky.
Is that what they are called. Beautiful.
Excellent job refurbishing that device, although it appears to have been constructed to last a very long time!
Love to see your resourcefulness and ingenuity, great work ethic. The countryside is gorgeous too.
I have no idea, what the gadget was, but interesting watching you work out how it should work and how to fix it. A real engineer.
You are so talented- I love watching you fix everything and anything!
It looks like the end of the arm originally went through the middle of the spring, judging by the round piece on top of the arm.
This would also keep the springs from turning around the bolt
Nice find
Devids I'm always impressed how you can take things and make them work.
That looks like a tedder. I've got one very much like that.

@@Deividss as long as you can make it work no problem 👍
