Great start! I really enjoy your camping videos-family, the woods, such beautiful moments. An annual tradition worth the wait and worth savoring. Looking forward to the next part!
We're glad you enjoy the videos! We're already working on the next one and it will be out soon. It sure is an annual tradition and something we look forward to every year. Thank you for watching and commenting. Juddie
You got it, Newman. It is all about tradition, something that a lot of younger generations don't care about. Thanks for watching and commenting. Juddie
Dan, it got here quick!! Just seems like it was late this year. Thanksgiving was the last week of the month in November instead of the third week, and this season it put the 2nd week all the way into December. Looked at the calendar for the next few years and it is going to be like that until, I think, about 2028! Appreciate you watching and commenting. Juddie
Favorite time of the year. Looking forward to the rest of your videos from the week. Glad you got the slideout f,igured out... A couple years ago we were woken up at 330 on opening morning to the slideout in our camper leaking. luckily we were able to fix it enough to get thru the week. Then took it to get it fixed correctly haven't had an issue since.
Ryan, it is a great time of year, isn't it?? Working on the first hunt video this week. We were so glad to finally get that slide to go out. I figured that if we didn't get the slide to go out, we would have been hooking back up and going home. Man, that would be terrible, my old 74 Traveler ended up leaking around the roof vent. Now it looks like I am going to have to gut part of the camper and redo it. Thanks for watching and commenting, we appreciate it!! Juddie
Todd, we almost thought that Camp Charlie was going to be a bust since we were having issues with that slide!! We were both so excited that the slide finally worked. We thought we were going to have to hook back up and head home and hunt at home. Which isn't all that bad, but at home the cellphones work! LOL Up here on the mountain there is no cell coverage at all, which in one sense is bad because we can't use cellular trail cameras. That is why we are looking at these solar powered/alkaline backup cameras. Less time in the woods up there changing batteries on the cameras we are using. Oh, the meals are awesome!! Of course, I am the cook, most of the time. When it comes to the steaks I let Jerod take charge of them and I do all the sides. We eat good up there for sure. Thanks for watching and commenting. Working on the next video this week. Juddie
Thanks, Adam. Hope you enjoy them. Didn't know if we were going to have Camp Charlie or not when the slide didn't want to cooperate. But it was a huge relief when it finally went out. Thanks for watching and commenting. Juddie
The start was like a roller coaster, some high moments and some really low moments. Thanks for watching and commenting. Working on more videos now from the week. Juddie
Ian, you are so right!! We were so glad that finally we were able to get that slide out. It made the rest of the week so nice. Thanks for watching and commenting. Juddie
Isn’t always something that happens when you have plans. I look forward to seeing your time at camp it really reminds me of our camp experience up at our camp. Can’t wait for next video good luck and Thank you for sharing and your hard work putting it all together.
You're right, plans don't always go exactly as planned, but it's the journey that makes it all worthwhile, Jr! Once that slide went out, a huge burden was lifted. More videos coming from the week at Camp Charlie. Thanks for watching and commenting. Juddie
Thanks, Chad!! Will start working on Monday's video sometime this week. Also, got to do the review video of the trial camera as well. Thank you for the birthday wish. Thanks for watching and commenting. Juddie
Well, John, it wasn't at first. We were so aggravated over the slide, but Saturday evening when it finally went out it was a big relief. Working on the videos this week, hope to have the first one out by Friday. Thanks for watching and commenting. Juddie

Thanks, Steve!! Will be working on the Monday video here in a day or two. Also, got to get the review of that solar camera put together as well. Thanks for the birthday wishes and watching and commenting, both here and on the Live Chat. Didn't know it would do the Live Chat, but now I know. Juddie
It was a huge relief for sure, Dave! I figured if we didn't get it to come out we were going to have to go home and hunt at home instead of our favorite place, the mountain, during the rifle season. I have hunted up there for roughly 42 years, there was about 3 or 4 years I didn't because we didn't see any deer for a few years. Then Jerod, after I started him hunting, wanted to go and we went. Then we started putting cameras out up there and saw the deer were there, we just needed to be patient and look for more sign when we would go up to hunt. They might not be on that finger ridge because there was no mast, so it took a little work to find those deer. Once that slide was out, our spirits were lifted. Thanks for watching and commenting. Juddie
Thanks, Mark. Oh we were so glad that the slide finally went out!! Made camp a lot easier for sure!! We will be having a review of those trail cameras soon. Thanks for watching and commenting. Juddie
Well, Marty, it looked like it was going to be a bad start until we got the slide out. Will be working on Monday's video later this week. Just so glad that we didn't have to cut it short. We had a good time except for the extreme cold temperatures. Thanks for watching and commenting. Juddie
Always seem like something will go wrong at camp. Don’t know why that is. Glad u were able to get it to slide out. Looking forward to the hunt videos (which I see one his out)
Dan, you are so right. It just isn't camp, one year, about 3 days before we left for camp for the first week of rifle season, the oven in our stove blew up. I had to go out and buy a new stove and put it in. No big deal other than the cost right before leaving on our trip. It seems like several years we had issues before camp. Then I think it was back in 2019, a young hemlock fell on my camper down at the campground lease we had. And the guy we were having problems with came over showing himself while we were in the process of removing the tree. That almost turned into a fist fight!! You got me, Dan, don't know why things have to happen like that. Oh, we were so tickled to get the slide out, it was an upbeat moment for sure. Of course, the tone had been set for camp, and as you will see in other videos to come. We still had moments of what else would go wrong. Our planned schedule of things we needed to get done was thrown off. I sure hope next year things fall into place and we can have a year like we did in 2023 those first three days of getting camp setup, taking care of things that we needed to do and relaxing before the week of hunting. Thanks for watching and commenting. Juddie

Thanks, Lonnie. It was a big burden lifted off our shoulders, especially Jerod's when we got that slide to go out. Oh, those meals is what makes camp so good!! LOL Yes I miss Ted Mac's campground for sure, especially the days that the old man ran it. A lot of the stuff that happened in the past 12 to 14 years wouldn't have happened if he had still been around. When we drove by, we looked over there and there is a bunch of empty shelters that people built over their campers. You know the whole campground and the Neola Market were condemned by the county back in the summer!! We went up and got the last few things out of the bus, which had been broken into again!! We had to leave it there. I hated that. We were going to drive up there to see if it was still there, but we decided not to. We wanted to remember it the way it was before all the issues we started having around 2019 or 2020. Lonnie, we used to camp on the mountain every year from 1982 to 1995, when we got the lease on the campsite in the camp ground. Then in 2020, since Jerod had never camped on the mountain we started doing it again. Working on the next video this week. Thanks for watching and commenting. Juddie
That is for sure, Matt!! It did put a dampener on the trip when we first got there. But a little spoiler alert, it wasn't over yet.
