Hey! How come some of the new front glass already has cables attached to them, what is this? And do you need glass with digitizer film attached or does the original digitizer stay on the watches?
@@berenoelia6663 Ah okay good to know, wanting to start doing some repairs myself so trying to get a better understanding! Would this trip any "serialization" issues, like full display replacement sometimes makes the NFC chip stop working etc.
Whenever you see glass with a flex that means that it’s a combo between the glass and digitizer (touch screen) this is only needed if the touch was bad. The series 2 and 3 will always need a new digitizer where all other models can have the glass only replaced if the rest is still good.
I took it apart to replace the Apple Watch Se LCD. There is no problem with the three cables, but the thin cables on the left and right sides of the cables were cut. I connected the screen but it doesn't touch. Should the cable be replaced?
The Qian li 3d pry tool has become the best method to remove the screen for me. Use the little offset edge with a bit of Alcohol and it comes right off. Also why don't you remove the battery before removing the screen? Have you never shorted out a screen while doing the repair? One more ting lol are you gonna do the OCA method in the future? I've gotten a lot of loca spilled everywhere and it's really messy. I started doing the OCA method recently.
OCA works well and is not messy. The issue is you get one shot at alignment and it’s tricky to get it perfect every time. With enough practice with LOCA you will learn the minimum amount needed to have no mess and it gives you the flexibility to cure it in the perfect position. To avoid shorts it comes down to practice. I’d recommend removing the battery, but after 3000+ watch repairs it’s not an issue anymore. Also fixing a “short” isn’t difficult anymore. I wish you luck in all future repairs and hopefully my videos help!
@@FIXDPHONES isn't that what the alignment mold is for using the OCA? It guarantees you get it right the first time. I've seen a few sites have it for sale. I just went ahead and got one. Waiting for it now. Also have you ever gotten that loca inside the connectors? Isn't it game over if that happens?
@@oDJJPLo I just did my first series 6 about two weeks ago. The s4 and newer are pretty much easy as hell just doing the glass. I know some people who don't even clip the edge of the glass and can peel it right off.
@@TechTee504 nice. Yeah I find them simple enough to do I've just recently run into issues which weren't happening before which are becoming frustrating as hell because I can't figure out why it's happening. For example when I'm removing the glue sometimes I can see small patches as if I've peeled a layer off. Any idea why?
hello please say NFC module if you do not know from the old screen and do not put on a new one when flashing knocks out an error! how to reflash apple watch 4/44 with a non-native NFC module thanks
I’m getting series SE for $100 (that’s quite a fair price i guess) but the screen is cracked. So should i buy it and get the screen repaired? Someone pls help. Does the change screen affect its function?
Any damage will affect its resistance to liquid. Replacing the glass will definitely make it look new again. Fixdirepair.com submit a repair request if you do end up getting it.
I removed my cracked glass screen from SE 44mm… now I see a silver aluminum looking back, what should I do next? My kit contains tools and a clear screen not the black tint screen???? 😮
@FIXD Phone Repair Great work! I've watched all of your videos when learning to replace the glass and have been fairly successful but recently I've been shorting the watches, the screen is blank although it still vibrates etc please advise me how to repair. I couldn't figure out how I'm shorting the watches but I came to the conclusion that I must be powering on the watch when cleaning the glass from the frame. I figure draining the battery should solve that, but how do I repair it the shorting issue? Please help. Thank you
Thanks for uploading the video, good work I have Apple SE 44 mm Watch the glass was broken , tried to do as you but the digitizer was broken. I bought a Apple watch 5 44mm was IC Locked, I used the screen to replace in the SE, and if did not work i will put it back to the 5. Now the screen does not work on neither one!! a BLACK Screen only one time on the 5 apple log show up blink never happen again. As expert do you know what i did wrong? Thanks in advance.
I’m really impressed, great job man!💪🏼 I’m also trying to repair an Apple Watch S3 42mm, I would ask you how to choose the best components for the restoration, and if the force touch (if I’m not wrong, the sort of adesive on the boundary??) usually have to be replaced in case of cracked glass. Thank you, sorry if I have made some errors, I’m Italian😄
Hey there, I’m looking to replace the glass only on my Apple Watch SE. May I ask a few questions? I would like to know how could I differentiate the glass layer and digitizer layer when separating the screen? Thanks!
Thank you so much for doing these videos, it got me to fix my Apple Watch
Dude i work in repair and i just keep looking at your great tweezers witch ones do you use
is the watch still water proof?
Thanks for the video, if I may ask what adhesive did you use to stick the screen to the front glass?
Can I assume that the series 5 and SE are the same LCD screens from the internal view of this watch? From the untrained eye they look identical?
Thanks for the great video.
I have one question which glue are used for the watches.
Thank you for a answer. 👏🏼
If you are referring to the adhesive on the boarder then cold press adhesive is great. For the glass to display both LOCA and OCA work.
The hardest Apple Watch repair I‘ve done so far was an S0 display flex replacement. But those only glass replacements really are on another level.

Hey! How come some of the new front glass already has cables attached to them, what is this? And do you need glass with digitizer film attached or does the original digitizer stay on the watches?
The one with the cable has a new touch. If you don't get to save the original touch you can put a glass with a new one

The NFC can be transferred from one display to another to avoid issues that arise with a whole display replacement.
@@FIXDPHONES ah right, that makes a lot of sense! Also good to know that I should make sure to get digitizers for series 3 glass repairs, thanks!

What tape is in use for the separator . ? Will it melt at 80 oC ? Or did you preheat and turn heat off when tape applied?
does not have the flat 3d touch?

at least 24hours
Thank you very much, what a great job?
Glad you liked it!
What are the tweezers & pick you're using? Look pretty decent.
do you sell iwatch SE 40mm lcd?
If you do this repair, does the watch's software still work? I was told it wouldn't.
Glass has no other function than to look good and protect the internals. like any watch replacing a broken glass doesn't affect the rest of the watch.
@@FIXDPHONES Oh, I see. I was told that there was a software lock on Apple's behalf.
bro from series 4 to series se and 6 glass are in same size my point is that if i dont get apple watch se or 6 glass can i use series 5 glass or no
Same glass for the 4,5,SE, and 6 but different Digitizers if needed during the repair.
