Instead of partying on the weekends, I was working on cars- and I loved it. Since starting youtube, I have started what I call Ecrew. It's not supposed to be some childish "Logang squad." I understand the sentimental value this car has to Emilia, but if she can get an offer of around 200 grand she should seriously consider it. The thing is there's not much more you can do to this car and sometimes you just gotta be a bit practical with running a business and she seems to really love the 458. Me to she is way to smart to part with that car yet, cant wait to see what else Emelia has in stall for it, Personally first thing i would do after it's fixed is replace the Z51 Spoiler with at least the C8 High Wing or better, spoilers create drag preventing the car from lifting, whereas a wing creates down force, same amount of grip but by removing the drag, the car could gain about 0.5 seconds and that's just with the basic C8 High Wing, i would consider a wide body kit as well so wider rear tires could be added giving better traction.

Congratulations on the 458. You can see that you really have a clue! Finding a "daily driver" that is reliable is certainly difficult. Taking a car that is featured in the GT3 Endurence makes the most sense. Those who pass the LeMans 24h and run countless laps on most of the often difficult routes in the world can easily manage everyday life. Very cool! But you already proved that with the Huracan. Everything done right. I'm looking forward to the upgrades the 458 will get!

Honestly, with the current cost you of C8s in General plus the cost of parts not to mention testing and labor...you should have countered with a 200+K offer... to make it an easier decision...

I own a 1996 Nissan 200sx-ser ...with over 220 thousand miles on it.. it's a stick..2.0 litre ..thing is fun as heck and I can take it out of gear and push it around by myself.. or even use the starter motor to move it if need be.. This vid reminded me of why I don't want a car that is dependent on a computer to actually work.
Even if you sold the Corvette, I still love you and I would honestly just respect your decision

As a fan from your trip to Ca to the Museum and then a lot of C8 content, how could I be angry with you? After all, I'm just a fan and you are living my dream content. Your C8 is a first year car and one of the earliest serial numbers out there. Then there was that whole period where you brought us along for the ride back home with all of the side trips. In the meantime, Chevrolet finally produced 2786 cars or something and then it had to shut down. There were various shutdowns but those who had C8 were rare cats in deed. Then each run and each mod. Every time you overcame a fire or a problem, America was cheering along side you. Then the records started to fall. You weren't by yourself as others were attempting to take all of your records (except for the one run by Speed Phenom at 2.6 seconds with a totally stock C8, early on), and while getting some, your zero to sixty and your quarter mile times were legendary. On top of this, no one has really unlocked the ECU yet, forcing some work arounds. All of those great things happened with those race clutches, but you got all you could out of those original race clutches and now you know you need something even stronger in the gear box. I'm the guy who say that if you continue your road with this car, it will be worth a half million not that far down the road. The 180 sounds like a lot, but I'd say that accepting that offer would be a little like giving the car away. Then there's that board with your goals on it. If you achieve all of them, your car rising out of the ashes will move right on up to million dollar status. Of course that is all just my opinion. Enjoy the ride. While the 458 is flat out a great car, remember: S.P. got himself a McClaren and his content started to drop off a bit. Of course he's going after a C8/ZO6. Interesting, but down the road there will be a Zora. It's your journey that is taking your rare C8 to another level. My experience is only with my 2020 C8 which has its own story as they all appear to have. This Phoenix has more life in front of it. Best wishes.

@@cll1639 that was my point though. “They say” Z06 in 22. “They say” they were going to produce 40,000 2021 vettes. They have pushed back every roll out date so far. I wouldn’t make any decisions based on a projected corvette rollout date.
@@cll1639 I actually left a comment for her a couple times to treat the decision of selling/not selling the C8 as a business decision even though following her heart would have to be considered too. She's not done with that car yet but as long as the car keeps fighting her it will be a good content maker along with triumphs here and there. I have a feeling in the next video or two we'll be seeing how roached the clutches are. Honestly surprised the stock trans hasn't flown apart.

Low voltage will cause all kinds of modules to shut down on newer cars.. I run into this all the time on car lot cars when they use small jump packs to start them on dead batteries.
Ik making this comment only 7 mins in so idk if the problem is resolved. but chevy has been having a problem with their trans temp sensors going out for like the past 8 years. all the vehicles with the 8 speed trans for sure. and instead of having an externally accessed sensor like most vehicles, its build into the internal trans harness. so you have to drop the pan, drop the valve body, pull the whole harness and replace it. I was quoted $900 and some change to have it done on my silverado. this was after paying $650 for the fluid change to the new fluid to stop the TTC shudder ( the feeling like you're running over speed strips)

The GT500 is just as capable as that 458, sis. I’m serious. And it’s so much easier to work on and source parts for.

Got a love dual clutch transmission technology, this is the first year this car has one of these and while they are great, you just have to adore these little flaky problems. Fiat and Dodge got their behinds handed down to them on these problems. They could not figure out how to fix them and ended up replacing part in my wife's Dodge Dart which at some point turn into a transmission replacement. I jumped in, cause I got fed up and pointed out that they were miss diagnosing the issue. They gave me all kinds of bull so I pulled the car off their hands and fixed it myself. It had to do with getting a bunch of codes that were wrong. Temp to high was one of them followed by gears not ready, and ultimately not moving at all. Unplugging the battery would clear it but it would come back sooner or later. I found an electrical flaw and a mechanical. The electrical had to do with having the wrong reference ground and the second a mechanical one. The car has been running ever since without all of these annoying issues. Trust me, it is not the transmission, nor the actuators, nor the pressure pump. Specially if it runs after a battery reset or a swap in TCM modules.

The EPA will only go after cases that are a slam dunk win in court. The EPA does not want a lenghty challenge that will possibly set a precident not in their favor. The EPA is only going after sellers of products that only have specific drop in application in vin vehicle, and could not possibly in a race vehicle, or mower.
