The Depstech split screen feature puts it over the top for inspection/diagnosis work. More efficient than having to press a button continuously to get both views along the inspection path.
I'm leaning towards the Teslong because of the larger screen & your assessment of it being heavier & seems to be higher quality. New to your channel & enjoying it. I'm telling all my friends & colleagues. I'm a machinist and this is a time saver tool. Mine got crushed & I've been stressed trying to find a replacement cheaply. Again Great Channel...Thanks Greg Dunn TX City, TX
I think I’d have to go with the Teslong. I like how compact the other one is and the length of the camera cord but the Teslong looks like it’s a better overall quality unit. Great comparison of both of them!
Really like the Teslong! You pointed out some valuable points. There have been a number of uses I could have used these for, would have saved so much time and frustration.
Teslong. The rigidity factor of the Telong allows for better positioning & maintaining that position for better view/inspection time. The material of the extension, while much thicker, is very similiar to a bronchoscope. The use of this type of instrument is to view, but in some cases it’s use is for inspection, so positioning and the ability to maintain a position for a period of time is imperative for doing an actual inspection. If you have to constantly reposition, thats desruptive if you are trying to concentrate on what you are looking at.
@@TonyTheTechnician thats a very useful tool. Glad I came upon your channel. Definitely room for not only auto & boat repairs, but also invaluable for electrical or finding the main water shut off for a house, when some wahoo dry walled over it! LMAO That is the position I am in right now. I bought a water softner and went to install, and I was advised of that little “building error” when they built out the basement. A real head scratcher
The Teslong looks like a better built endoscope. The only drawback is the size. For the price the Depstech would be perfect to use. I like the dual screen.
Thanks for the review, I have been trying to decide between the two brands. I prefer the Teslong due the build quality and looks solid and is pleasing to the eye. I think the hook on the side of the unit is great, so you can clip it in if you are worried about dropping it. That said, depending on application, the 10ft cable may be insufficient so you may need to invest in longer cable. Solely from a price to function standpoint, assuming the image quality is comparable (can't find the photos?) the Depstech is seems the better choice of the two, assume it's lighter too so more portable if you are traveling and prefer the smaller semi rigid case. A couple of things I would have liked to know, is comparison of the focal range between the two units and the camera head size (5 or 8mm)....
Ya both have pros and cons. I think the depstech is better bang for your buck but the Teslong is definitely the better quality one. The resolutions are the same but I could only fine the focal distance for the one. Very limited info unfortunately. I tried to share all the info I could find on them
Both look very cool. I personally would go with the teslong with the controller like screen and looks to be built better. In all they both would do the job and is better than nothing! Also thank you for doing so many Tekton tool videos. I just order a 3/8 and 1/2 flex head ratchets as well as 3/8 torque bits for sure worth the money!
I wasn't sure which one was better with the individual videos but with a back to back comparison it's clear the teslong is a better tool. I like the split screen feature on the depstech but the build quality and even the look and ergonomics of the teslong is far better.
I vote for the Teslong because of the larger screen and oil resistant camera. The split screen on the Depstech would put it far ahead if that was the only deciding factor.
Norm's Automotive With my limited information, the less expensive unit seems to be the one. I actually like the idea of the smaller cable and less stiff trying to get into hard-to-get places as well as going thru water pipe outlets for leaks seems more usable for me. Using it on houses etc probably the other cable would be the better choice.
I like the dual screen on the Depstech. Given frequency of use, build quality is less of an issue to me. I think it would be great to check out for dropped nuts, or inspecting cam gears on a V8. Great video.
I like the compactness of the depstech but I feel the teslong might be better built for the auto industry. Either would be great to have for someone like me who’s a DIYer
The teslong looks nicer especially the cable and I’d probably go with it. I’ll give the depstech that it’s a great value plus the compact design and case would be nice
@TonyTheTechnician last week you said it would be next week please tell me i did not miss it yet lol i am so keeping my fingers crossed a new tool day is a great day ;) this 1 i could really use too ;)
I would go with the Teslong, even if the Depstech is as good, I would stay away from them, my reason is: Depstech will try and persuade any Amazon buyer with a voucher in the pack for money off if they post a five star review and get even more money off if they post a video also... what a scam.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts
Thank you for spending time and effort to educate us about both unit's features, much appreciate it. my personal preference is the Teslong.
Teslong seems like it has ergonomic buttons and a bigger screen. Thanks for the chance!
Thanks for watching and the input 👍

I have the Depstech model and it works excellent, I always recommend it...
Really like the Teslong! You pointed out some valuable points. There have been a number of uses I could have used these for, would have saved so much time and frustration.
Thanks and ya I know what you mean. Before I had one I had some frustrating situations that would have been alot easier with one of these lol

I think they did the same thing in my house. I can't find the main shut off anywhere.
I gotta be honest man Im really liking that Teslong! But as a starting tech I'd be happy with either!
Thanks 👍

How is the screen refresh?
The snap on is terrible for screen refresh, chop chop...
Thank you for this review! Just the information I needed!
Glad you found it helpful
I like the Teslong for the fact the buttons seem more user friendly as you’re holding the screen.
👍👍👍
I wasn't sure which one was better with the individual videos but with a back to back comparison it's clear the teslong is a better tool. I like the split screen feature on the depstech but the build quality and even the look and ergonomics of the teslong is far better.
Completely understandable. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and watching the videos as well. 👍
Depstech is my choice. Has what I like. Cool and would be nice to have.
👍👍👍
I vote for the Teslong because of the larger screen and oil resistant camera. The split screen on the Depstech would put it far ahead if that was the only deciding factor.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts
I would say I rather the teslong due to the screen size. although I do like the split screen function of the depslong.
Ya I know exactly what you mean. Thanks for sharing your thoughts 👍
Nice review, Tony. I like teslong for the larger screen and the more rigid cable, but the Depstech ain't a bad unit either.
Thank you 👍
If I where to buy one I would go with the depstech. The price size and being able to split screen the cameras are all nice.
Absolutely understandable it's a big price jump for sure

Good review. I would choose the despatch. The usb might work in the chrome book.
Ya it would be worth a shot. Thank you 👍
@@TonyTheTechnician I might work most usb cameras work with camera app on chrome book.
The Teslong seems like the better unit in my opinion. They both seem to be great units though!
Thank you
The Teslong seems to be better, but both look good. Great video I've been looking into getting 1.
Thank you
I like the dual screen on the Depstech. Given frequency of use, build quality is less of an issue to me. I think it would be great to check out for dropped nuts, or inspecting cam gears on a V8. Great video.
Thank you I appreciate the input 👍
The Teslong looks beefier but for field service, the compact Depstech will fit in a tool bag or backpack easier. So I'm saying Depstech.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts 👍
The Depstech for its portability.
Does these have corrosion resistance?
Testing looks more durable and would definitely give a better picture to make trouble spots easier to see.
👍👍👍
I agree with the others, the teslong is really nice
👍👍👍
I like the compactness of the depstech but I feel the teslong might be better built for the auto industry. Either would be great to have for someone like me who’s a DIYer
Thanks for the input 👍
good video. while I really like the compact size of the depstech, I would have to go with the teslong for its cord.
Understandable 👍
The split screen would be nice, but I think the Teslong wins it for me with the stiffer cable
👍👍👍
Tony looks like the the Teslong is a great unit but for the money the other one is just as good.
Thanks and ya the price difference is really what sets them apart
I'd probably go Teslong as it has the better cable and larger screen.
Agreed 👍
think I’d have to go with the Teslong.
The teslong looks nicer especially the cable and I’d probably go with it. I’ll give the depstech that it’s a great value plus the compact design and case would be nice
Thanks 👍 I appreciate the input
It’s really cool that you take the time to respond to everyone
Thank you. I try to do my best.
Compared to what I have they both are top of the line. Lol I think teslong is the better one, but for the diy'er you won't go wrong with the depstech.
Agreed. Thank you 👍
That Teslong looks really nice
hey man love your tool videos
Thanks great review it looks like Teslong better built...but for the cost i got to pick the Depstech
Love this tool thank you for doing this video
Thanks for watching
I think the overall design of the Teslong is better especially for those of us with bigger hands.
Very true 👍
The teslong looks awesome. Love the cable
👍👍👍
My vote goes to Teslong because of the built quality. Thanks!
Understandable 👍
as much as I like the split screen on the Depstech, the screen is just too small, therefore my vote for overall is the Teslong
👍👍👍
Personally the Depstech would be better for me. just because of the size
Understandable. Thanks for sharing your thoughts 👍
Hey Tony any idea of a date on when you are gonna choose a winner for this yet ?
Yes it will be next week 👍

Thanks 👍
Like teslong clear
👍
Спасибо за видео .К сожалению на русском нет обзоров на данную продукцию.По итогу какой из аппаратов оказался лучшим ? Спасибо !
I'd rather have the depstech one because of the split screen and longer cable and it being more phone like so easier to hold one handed
Thanks for the input
Teslong I think looks great for me.
I’m really like the teslong and definitely would be nice to have this in my box being I don’t have a scope!
👍👍👍
For the money you can't go wrong with the cheaper one. The specs. Are so even why spend the extra money.
Very understandable 👌
I'm thinking the teslong would be more auto industry friendly. Nice to know about the oil resistance on that camera tip.
Absolutely thank you 👍
Depstech seems like a good deal but the teslong is really nice
Agreed 👍
depstecksmaller with longer cable
Thanks 👍
I think the Teslong would be the better of the two.
👍👍👍
I vote for the Teslong!
