- We look at Spinnaker's all-new, just released, Hull Chrono which is a nice addition to the Hull lineup. There is a lot to like about this watch from its price point to its attractiveness, yet their might be one feature that could be improved. Let's see what that is to an otherwise solid Spinnaker time piece.
Thank you Spinnaker for providing the Hull Chrono for me.

Thanks for the great review, Rich. Nice watch, screw-down pushers, no less! Brilliant for the price! You always bring us really interesting pieces! Take care
6:03 I certainly wish that every watch reviewer gave us an outdoor wrist shot in the direct sunlight and oh what an alluring dial it is. Spinnaker has always excelled in this field. I'm not as crazy about the grand date window being at the top, but to each his own. At this price point the watch is a steal; even the strap is nice, thick quality leather. Great review! 🏆
Hi, The Mogul! Thanks so much, brother. I appreciate your review like feedback. 👌😁
@@whatsonthewrist You know my big mouth 😬 It wouldn't be right if I didn't give you my .02 cents 😆 Keep up the good work brother! 😊
@@themogul5846 Your voice is always welcomed and appreciated around here. 👏😀
@@whatsonthewrist 🥳Thanks brother!🎊
It's a really nice offering from Spinnaker. Great review Rich!!👍😎👊
Hi, Aron! Agreed on a nice offering. You also did a fine job over on your channel. Thanks so much, brother. 👌😁
It’s like Spinnaker has elves working full time cranking out watch designs.
Hi, TRUE LIBERTY! Well at least the film "Elf" made working in the North Pole look like a lot of fun. Actually that is a great movie that I always watch around the holidays. Will Ferrell was so good in the early days. Thanks tho, brother. 🎅 👊😜
Hello Rich, nice video. The watch looks good for the price. Hope you are well, including your dog who we haven’t seen much of recently. ⌚️🐶
Hi, Bob! Agreed the price is attractive. And yes, you're also right and now I feel rotten for excluding Sam. We'll work him in the next one. Actually the next one may be an unboxing, if it is Sam will be in the next full video. Thank you my friend from down under.👊🐶 🇦🇺
Great review as usual bro, I really do like the texture of the dials from spinnaker and a solid offer 👍🏻🙏🏻
Hey, Mister B! Agreed. Thanks, brother. 🇩🇪 ☕️👊
Another good looking and good value watch from Spinnaker. Thanks for the thorough review Rich! I would love to see it be a little thinner and also have that lollipop on the chrono hand a little lower to give an unimpeded view of the date window. Really love the execution of that date! Also like the sandwich dial and how it allows for more lume. Have a great weekend!
Hey, meteorite16! Yeah I understand about being able to see the date window clearer. That's my favorite feature. Great perspective on the Hull Chrono. Thanks for your feedback, brother. 💬👌
I'm a fan of cushion cases...looks like they tried to keep the size down some, by shortening the lugs...pretty cool!
Hi, iDid! I also like cushions cases and yes the lug length is very reasonable and shorter than what I said. Thanks, brother. It's always fun to see your avatar pop up in the comments. 👀👊😜
Main ticky tock !!! awesome Rich !!! as always!! I want 1. All the best mate - Nick.
Hi, Nick! Great to see you here on the 'tube. I could see you wearing this during your workouts. 🏋️♂️👊😜
Rich, I can get onboard for this price. That dial is beautiful. I agree with everything u expressed in the video. But I can always have the mineral crystals replaced for a few bucks if it ever needs replacement. I own a spinnaker tesei and its been great. Very good and honest video. I’m off to check out their website. 👍
Hi, Stephen! Agreed regarding Spinnaker's dials. You're also right the crystal can easily be replaced. Thanks, brother. 🙏👌
Hey Rich! Thanks for another great review. This watch reminds me a lot of Panerai with the sandwich dial. BTW, any chance of you making it to Watch Time New York in October? It's a fantastic watch show. Anyway, looking forward to the next video.
Hi, Blueshirt Buddha! Great question regarding Watch Time. But we have our own microLUX Chicago Event this October 18th & 19th. I have my hands more than full at the moment. You can check out our lamicrolux.com website if you wanna. I also hope to see you at microLUX. Thanks as always, brother for your support. 🙏👌😁
Chao Rich, I wouldn't buy a chrono that was automatic. Not a fan of the repair bills. It seems like it could have been 12mm thick or so with the quartz inside. Good review. Spinnaker makes some nice watches. Good brand.
Hi, James! Yes for sure meca quartz is a popular choice and has their supporters. I also understand about the thickness issue. Thanks as always for your support and stay cool with those iced coffees. 🙏😁☕️
Nice review. But I think the lug to lug is 47 or 47.5mm rather than 50mm. I love the design but it’s really a thick watch for the movement. I also love the big date complication at 12. But I’m gonna pass on that one.
Hi, Gerard! Yes, I believe you're right the lug length is less than 50 and closer to what you feel. And yes it is not an ultra thin watch for sure. Thanks for your feedback, 👌😁
Thanks for the review. I really don't understand why a quartz chronograph has to be that thick. It would be way to thick for me. Keep up the good work bud
Hi, chris! It isn't VC thin so I understand your feelings. Thanks, brother. I appreciate ya. 👊😁
They repurposed the original Hull which housed an automatic NH35 and beyond that I think they just wanted that chunky Paneria look.
@@@AltonJRuffRev You could be right. I like tall watches as long as the lug do not extend beyond my wrist bone area. The Hull Chrono does not on me. I like your perspective. 👌😁
Nice video
Hi, Cristian! Thank you. I appreciate you. 🙏😁
too thick for quartz chrono. I think that they did it intentionally though, but I would prefer much thinner which they can do. Price is okay for what it is. It would be a nice touch if they can also offer metal bracelet.
Hi, Alex! Yes a bracelet could work. Spinnaker has been known to add them. Thanks, sir. 👌😀
I bought it for 188$ with the code meca20
Hi, Brodo! That is fantastic! An even better price. Please let me know your thoughts when you unbox it. I look forward to it. Thanks for sharing your purchase. 👌😁
where did you purchase it from?
@@Guitarman2k10 spinnaker website
mmmmmm.....I think is a fake Parnis
Hi, Mauricio! Hmmm, I would view the brand you cited as viewed that way by most watch people.✌️😜
Yo Rich, thanks for the video. Spinnaker certainly cranks out the watches, and I've wanted to buy one, but for the size. I'll continue to make the argument that with all the models they offer, they can create something in the 38mm size. But I digress. I have a major beef with this meca quartz chrono movement providing a 24 hour dial. It's out of context and seems contradictory on a chronograph. It's actually the reason I haven't pulled the trigger on Dan Henry's newer smaller sized offerings. The meca quartz movements DH used in earlier, bigger watches did not contain this 24 hour dial. I have to disagree with you about the screwed down chrono pushers. I've never seen that before... has anyone else done that? Keep up the great work, Rich! 👊
Hey, kleefan8! I understand about your feelings toward the movement and the size. Yes I've seen screwed down pushers but on mostly more expensive watches, so to me it was a refreshing touch to see it on a watch at this price. Great feedback and thoughts. Thanks, brotha. 💬👌😀
@@whatsonthewrist I figured you had seen the screwed down pushers before. Hmm, to me, screwing down the pusher is at odds with the control of a stopwatch. I'll have to let that concept sink in... 🙂
@@@kleefan8 It could be to help with the water resistance. 🤛
