It started life as a brand new Harley Benton and has been professionally modified to include an LED infinity mirror with sound to light. It also has a Hot Rail humbucker pickup fitted for minimal noise. As before, it runs off four 1.2V rechargeable AA NiMH batteries that power an ATmega chip along with the LEDs.
The visuals are stunning and the guitar sounds great i.m.o.

Now that is the first time seeing this, it's awesome! I would be to busy changing the light show and would forget to play.

I have one of these (early version single pickup) original a TE20 model. I've put a bareknuckle yardbird pickup in it, and had a full pro setup, and it is absolutely brilliant!

Literally my dream guitar in form and function. I have been looking into how to try to get this to happen for one of the guitars i already have and experimented with a chrome paint and it was a tremendous failure lol this is fantastic to see realized. It's so crazy when something you wish existed winds up actually existing with a random pop up in my feed, probably because of how much i have been trying to make this thing happen for one of my guitars, not knowing it already has a name and existence lol

Totally awesome! I've been suggesting for years that the guitar tops should be a type of Screen that could display images and video.

Thanks for your comment:-) It weighs around what it did b4 the mod..about 3.2Kg. Four NiCAD 1.2V 2400mAh AA's give about 3.5 hours of lighting.

I remember seeing a viral video like two years ago by an independent builder. I wonder how they got the LEDs to work without noise bleeding into the pickups.

Do you plan on doing any basses? I'd be interested in the Harley Benton Warlock or Thunderbird, with an LED mod. Infinity mirror, or even something else similar would be awesome.
Thank you for your message. I have done a couple of basses, more recently a H.B. PB-20 BK for a local bass player (check out matondesign.com/testimonials). These are quite tricky to modify due to the body contours. The Thunderbird looks promising though....watch this space...;-)

How did you separate the light grounds with the audio grounds? because if you tied the light grounds and audio ground it will create more buzzing noises
Thank you for your comment:-) LEDs/micro/neck pickup/power ground is separate from the bridge pickup/output jack ground for that very reason.
@@matondesign so you're "floating" the neck pickup power ground? You should make a rickenbacker guitar copy of the mirror sound of light guitar
Yes, the neck pickup is only used to send a signal to the micro; it does not connect to the output jack. Good suggestion about a rickenbacker...if I get the time.....Kind regards.

I can't help but think that the whole thing would have come together better with a plain black guitar. It looks sort of unfinished with the sunburst back. Pretty impressive all the same, from the front.
