работа во влажной среде и никаких уплотнений на крышках, мало того что это опять приведёт к быстрому выходу из строя агрегата, так ещё и небезопасно. но самый любопытный вопрос, нафига прорезь снизу? чтобы больше раствора проникало к самому вибратору?)))

Suggestions.
Seeing it's a concrete vibrator that will see numerous use, you should've welded everything all the way so that it will be intact much longer, not just spotwelds on the edges and the middle. Also, consider using threadlocking liquid on the bolts so that they further resist movement. Perhaps build a switch too on the edge of the cord so that it can be activated and deactivated at will? I know there's toggle switches that can be locked so it can be turned on indefinitely as needed.
On the other hand, using washers so as not to wound the paintjob is a good practice.
Other than that, it's a fine restoration that will see usage again.

What was the point of cutting a slot in the plate? No plate compactors have this, it only drags material on to the top of the plate and around the motor.
