      You should watch the next video with the glory pass. No mod changes, just better run after more time with it.

    Yeah, the Tremec has some wide gear ratios. That drop between 2-3 is a good one. Since the Tremec has the 1:1 ratio in 4th gear, more axle gear ratio is needed. I ran a best of 12.6 on my 14GT before I sold it with tire, XPipe and tune. But my rear gears were 3.31 so I was going thru the traps at the top of third due to large MT ET Streets. A 3.73 or 4.10 would’ve been better and put it at the top of 4th thru the traps. Now I have a 18 10R80 GT bone stock vert that ran 12.3 best, but the ratios in the auto are so much more tighter to keep it in the powerband. Are you going to change rear ratios? With the Tremec and the dual overdrive gears, you could do 4.10’s or even 4.30’s and still be streetable. Top of 4th thru the traps should be easy then.

      @crodrc51able Had 4.09's, cams, FBO installed last summer. 3rd goes to about 108mph still. Hoping to test at midnight madness this coming Friday. Will still be on 93 since still fighting to pass emissions, but will at least have a number.

    Output shaft speed sensor wires are 3 for a Coyote PCM which Tremec comes with only 2 wires the same as 07-14 GT500. And the return wire has to be grounded to the body if this is correct in order to make speedometer work properly on your instrument cluster as everyone talked about. I may think about to get rid of a failure-prone China made MT82D4 and install a stock Tremec TR6060 in the near future. If there were additional modifications you needed other than what I mentioned above, please reply below and thank you for sharing.

      3 months later, no additional issues, but I still need to take the time and measure the Pedders shock clearance with Gforce renegades to determine what replacements to order. Viking confirmed that their Warrior shock body is 1.900" diameter, which seems borderline but calipers will tell.

      Don't waste your time on the 6060. Just do the Magnum XL. It's a much better transmission for almost the same money.

    Is the Tremec notchy on the shifts? No powershifting?

    • @Karrottop009
      @Karrottop009  3 года назад +1

      Moderately notchy when compared to stock MT82, thanks to direct connection rather than double link remote shifter. Not power shifting since this is my only car. Have to be nice to the synchros. Also noticing that the synchros have trouble with cold mornings on way to work. Have to shift nicely until trans warms up. Worth noting that for first 5000 miles, not a single gear has failed a shift even once. TR6060 in the Camaro started acting up after 20k miles, so still not officially better yet.
      I have a newer video with a significantly better pass.

      @@Karrottop009 dang, as big as that 2-3 drop is, I figured a 2.66. That means the 2.66 must be REALLY wide. What rear gear you running?

      @rattiusfinkus1106 This was on stock 3.55's. Went to 4.10's with the cam swap.

      @@Karrottop009 hey did some more research and wanted to come back to this. Check this out. Even though the 2.97 Magnum does have a TAD shorter 1-2, the 2-3 difference is huge on them. The 2.66 is a 1.78 to 1.30 2nd to third. Difference is .48. On the 2.97 it's 2.101 to 1.46 or a difference of .641. That's quite a bit more of a drop from 2nd to 3rd as you are experiencing. So to sum it up, the 2.66 trans actually has a closer ratio spread in 1-4 which is where you spend your racing. Of course you wouldn't wanna run like a 3.15 gear with it or anything, but yeah. Even the 4-5 split on the 2.66 isn't THAT much difference. The 5-6 is bigger which is great for the highway. So there ya go. There's where the drop comes from 2-3.
