Everyone has a role on the pod but one day I would like to see ice take a day off and let Imani stand in for him he has the same music knowledge just as ice and brings more hilarious and intriguing conversations.
Mel shading, Karrine Steffans, was despicable. Especially when Mel, herself, is trying to rebrand herself and step away from the video vixen guise. She didn’t have to put Karrine down to bring herself up. The more we see of Mel, the more she pulls down her mask and reveals her true self. However, I do think that she being a hatred harboring, misandrist who has obvious self esteem issues, makes for an entertaining pod.
Mel didn’t say anything about Karrine changing and stepping away, she said Karrine wasn’t a major vixen, which is true. Karrine was getting booked because those artists and the casting directors knew exactly what she would do to be in those videos while on set! Karrine’s actions made it hard for other women in that industry that wasn’t putting themselves out there like that, reinventing herself does NOT change her past!! Mel has stepped away from the “vixen” persona, she still carries her name and history with pride. Karrine has literally changed her name, she’s reinvented herself because she now understands her past actions were dishonorable and she doesn’t want to be associated with the stigma!!

@darnell9806 My opinion comes from the rappers who created the negative stigma of being a video vixen. Maybe you're young, but there was never a point in time where video Vixens were respected. Women used to talk shit about how sexualized they were and how it was a negative view point for young women who may want to become "real" models. They were also assumed to sleep around a lot. Because a lot of them were for opportunities

Love the convo around 55mins on the finessing/selling multiple people the same verse/beat/lyrics. We talk with artists/producers/songwriters at our publishing company all the time. You the artist have to have music business acumen! Know the differences between leases, purchases, stay on top of splits and paperwork etc. The game is still 85% business and 15% music.
