I agree with you 😊 And it's more than just the squeaks; the main challenge with this song, imo, is for the singer to keep their registration balanced and their vocals smooth, especially when trying to incorporate the right touch of emotion. Often, you end up with jarringly disjointed dynamics and phrasing, or someone who doesn't give the song enough oomph because they're trying to avoid the former. It's a much harder song to sing WELL than it sounds like.
I have never seen this video before and the anime portion of it doesn't really depict what the song actually expresses, the original version with Mori doing the acting with a fellow actor really does the song justice, it sends us to a spiraling sense of emotions and in the end just crush the listener and watcher. These songs are in Tagalog and which is a very beautiful language. Mahal Kita means I Love You and this phrase is quite popular in many Filipino songs.

"Naririnig Mo Ba" is her original song, written by LJ Manzano and Joan Da, as an entry for a songwriting competition "Himig Handog" in 2017, and they chose Mori to be its interpreter. Just like "Akin Ka Na Lang" was also a contest piece for "Himig Handog 2014". I was surprised to see that there is an animated lyric video to this song, first time I've watched this on your channel. If you have noticed, in the lyric video and the music video, there were less squeaks than when she performed it on the Wish Bus. It was because the first two were done in 2017, and she sang on the Wish Bus in 2018. So, I am guessing that by time, she has already mastered the song too well, and she improved it and made it better by adding her signature squeaks, particularly in the chorus. "Is there anyone who sang it better than her?" Nah, I don't think so. For me at least, nobody does it better than Mori. That's the thing about her, she can make covers of other songs and make them her own, but other singers cannot make covers of Mori's songs that will be at par or better. I agree with you, "Naririnig Mo Ba" on the Wish Bus is among the best performances, along with "Akin Ka Na Lang". 🥰 With regards to the music video, I was like you when I first watched it, I thought that the guy was ignoring her and was cheating, and that "big" reveal at the end shookt me and caught me by surprise. Yup, I got chills and goosebumps, too, and even got teary-eyed. I guess seeing Mori in that state of coma is just too much to bear hehe. Mori, in one of her livestreams, narrated a background story about the MV. When they shot the hospital scene, when Mori was in bed with all those machines attached to her, there was a photo taken and it leaked into social media, and people who saw it got shocked and worried, they thought it was real. Final note: Do you remember my comments in previous videos about the seemingly "serendipitous connection" between Mori and Cindy? This is her own song. It's so difficult to sing no one dares to cover it. The song sounds different if you can't do the squeak consistently especially in the chorus. To me this is a Morissette special along with Akin Ka Nlang. Both songs are pleasant to hear but difficult to sing. Only Mori can execute these songs with a perfect 10 !

I feel like one is in a coma and about to pass away. The singer is holding the other person's hand as they talk. "Can you hear me" gives you a hint, a person in a coma can hear you but doesnt really react to what you're saying. This is my take on this. I believe it's a woman desperately praying for her partner to hang on to life.

This is her own song. It's so difficult to sing no one dares to cover it. The song sounds different if you can't do the squeak consistently especially in the chorus. To me this is a Morissette special along with Akin Ka Nlang. Both songs are pleasant to hear but difficult to sing. Only Mori can execute these songs with a perfect 10 !
In fact, I don't think anyone else has done a cover of Nanirinig, it's maybe Mori's best song, in my opinion.
