Great video! Why don't you use the new stereo to mono feature on the channel strip?

hi how did you get the parametric eq on the mixer tab? it's not on mine. i have mc pro studio 10, did you have to download it?

Hi there and thanks for your question, to enable the parametric EQ in the mixer tab you will need to click on the gear for settings located on the left of the channels. It is called "mixer panel preferences" when you hover over it. Then check the box for the parametric EQ and any other things you would like to see or uncheck for things you don't use. Then to make sure that it shows up for every new mix, check the box at the bottom of the window to make default for new projects. Hope that this helps!

A tip when you are doing these excellent tutorials for Mixcraft: Perhaps not have so many tracks in your project when demonstrating stuff? It makes the interface and especially mixer look cluttered. Instead just have an empty tracks list when starting the lessons, and add tracks as needed? Make the amount of tracks you're using as bare-bones as possible and focus on demonstrating what you are talking about instead. Just a thought.
Also, sometimes you forget to explain a bit about _why_ you're doing something. Fore instance, some words on why you are for instance duplicating the bass and low or high passing the two channels would be very helpful to the student.
    Thank you for these!

Thanks so much for the suggestions, we are for sure going to have some tutorials that are less tracks and more in depth about the movements. We really appreciate your feedback!

Thank you for jumping in and releasing some information on Mixcraft 10 before anyone else.
However, as a long time user of MC feel that what you've done here is not in the main very helpful at all. Some tips are useful but be assured that the vast number of users are sitting in a spare bedroom and nobody is going to be mixing multiple instances of a bass drum?
Similarly, although it's a good idea to double-up the bass, if your choice was a fretless, after correctly raising it by an 8ve it just sounded like a mushy rumble and I noted that you should have shortened the note durations to fix that.
Strangely, your narrative disappeared after a while and you gave no explanation on how you were using the analyser with the reference track..
Finally, the way you say you gain-stage a track is wrong. You say nothing about metering or the fact that staging is always done pre-fader for each track. All in all the content was either over-cooked, vague or just plain wrong.

Thanks for the feedback, would love to see some of your RUclips examples of some other ways we all could be using Mixcraft better! It is so wonderful that we have all found our own separate paths to using it.
Also, mixing multiple bass drums is a studio trick that plenty of at home bedroom studio users utilize to thicken up their bass drums. Plenty of professional mixers use multiple microphones on the kick drum and then blend them together.
As for gain staging, that was the very first thing covered when dragging the tracks into the session. If there are some other ways to adjust pre-fader that I might not have found, please share your information. As we all know there is limited information on using this wonderful daw.
Again, thank you for your honest feedback. That is the only way we all grow as a community.

The sounds that come with Mixcraft are heavily compressed Ogg Vorbis - basically not much better than MP3.
Acoustica refuse to inform people about it. Very irresponsible. Someone making serious music does not make it with heavily compressed audio samples, but they do so in Mixcraft without knowing ☹️

Thanks for this information! Our band is using Mixcraft but we will not be using any of the sounds and samples that is in the program. Everything will be recorded with an xlr microphone through our interface.
