We use those in the Summer time at training for the Search and Rescue dogs so they do not get overheated, we have to run them off several 5 gallon buckets of water though we bring.
I don't know how many time's I can say this. But here it goes, yall are so awesome to your animals. Never seen someone with so much love and care to them. Kicking it up a couples to make them feel comfortable in summer and winter. Way too go COG HILL❤❤❤❤❤

I was thinking the same thing! I was thinking at first that she might go for a late evening stroll around the watermelon patch....but then I thought no, all she needs to do is say "Hmm watermelon would be awesome AND Jason would volunteer to go get her a " nice" one! 😂

It amazes me that Jason has to even address the fact that these animals don’t have enough shade. All of these animals are better off than a lot of people. You’re worrying yourself for nothing folks. Bigger things in the world be concerned about.
Yes, so many homeless…and its getting harder for them to live, with no help in many situations. If we have a home and family, we are truly blessed and should reach out and try to help those that dont. Many cant help themselves and didn’t do anything wrong to be in their situations.
You are so right. Retired seniors cant afford the rents people want today. Living in their cars with no one to turn to. The government is trying to sweep them under the rug so to speak. Homeless on every street corner. Jason and Brookes animals have got it made In The Shade .

Your land is a plethora of different plants, espaliered beautiful berries, grapes, apples, so many varieties, so much work, and the reaping of their output. Here Ohio we are experiencing very similar weird weather but last night it got so chilly I decided to cover a couple of my plants. I had to cover my cucumbers and peppers. It looks like it's going to be like that again tonight. We had warm then chili and then went back to overly hot and now back to chili. It's really stressing my plants out and I have to keep up on them more than usual. I'm also not seeing as many bees. I'm definitely not seeing the usual amount of critters I normally see flying around my garden. Some things are blooming early and some things are a bit. I hope that all my work isn't for not. I've absolutely never seen some of my plants so stunted. The days of massive cloud cover which we've had with no rain has not been very good for my plants. Personally I feel less for my plants than I do for the crops.

Good morning Cog Hill Farm. That watermelon looked delicious. Good way to stay hydrated. When we lived in Mississippi my husband grew his first watermelons. Friends came to visit from Louisiana Bill loaded them with melons for their family. They forgot them in the trunk until them begin the smell. What a mess!! Y'all be good. Love y'all ❤️ ❤

Y’all @ Cog Hill Farm and the Morrow’s @ Longhorn Lester’s, From Suits & Boots and JL Ranch take better care of your animals than most farmers do. Making sure they always always always have clear clean fresh water, the best feed you can buy for each type of animal. Making sure they stay comfortable in all kinds of weather by providing them with shelter, whether it’s from the scorching sun or from rain or snow in inclement weather. Also, providing the chickens with misters to help them stay cooler was a wonderful thing to do. I watch both of your family’s farm channels equally and I love y’all so so much. Y’all make farming look so fun and easy, although I know it isn’t always easy and it’s tons and tons of work. It’s something that isn’t for everyone. But it’s so nice to see how y’all deal with the every day life of farming. God blessed people like you with good hearts and the will to work hard through thick and thin. I love all y’all as if you were my own family. Y’all be good now

I saw a video and I’m sure you know this already. Chickens cool off through their feet…standing in water. This particular video put ice in a shallow pool then added some flat stones. I was shocked…they loved it!!
They have something called tree watering bags that you fill with water and put around tree trunks and they release water gradually!

Sneed farm has a baby mini cow that will need a home once she is old enough. Been told Aunt Just don't want to be a bother by asking you if you want her so you might want to get a hold of her if your really want more cows. She is gentle and loving.

I saw a video on *_Fly Control._* Now, she's dealing with horses in stalls, so that's a _huge_ difference.
*BUT* i kept my horses in open stalls. In the summer, i hung a heavy-duty fan -- the kind with the sorta triangle base -- from the ceiling in the corner that was most shaded (so cooler) through the day. And i'd keep it on thru the summer months. This lady has box fans up at the front of each stall.
Now, , she doesn't use _just_ this -- she also uses some spray,.
*Her Fly Depletion Hack:*
Evidently, flies don't like the smell of vanilla (i'd never heard that before). She gets those tree-shaped car "perfumers" [folk hang on their rearviews] in the vanilla scent and fixes them to the intake side of the fan so it blows the scent into the stall. I haven't tried this at all, but she swears that this has helped decrease the flies.

They started with an overgrown mess and are creating a beautiful formal layout of a garden space with a fountain. While they had a gentleman from the USA help design the layout, it simply says anything is possible. You have a green thumb and will create a beautiful space

I'd leave the buckwheat alone because it's doing such a great job attracting pollinators to your gardens. But it's also providing a bunch of food for your honey bees as well. Imagine how plentiful your bees food source is going to be for the winter months. They'll definitely have plenty to last them.

Everybody (people AND animals) seem so content! It's a joy to see. Also -- did you know (you probably do) -- that you can grow watermelons on a trellis system? You just have to make hammocks for your watermelons as they grow, but you tie them onto the trellis. I know you have plenty of space on your farm, but, your cultivated area is limited. This will only take up as much space as your blackberries. Wish I could've been there when Brooke cracked open that first one. It made my mouth water just watching y'all eat it!
