This is the LAST EPISODE for awhile! You all think it would be a fun idea to restart in a new map with a harder difficulty?! Let me know and blow up that like button for more DAWN OF MAN!
I'd say you should make a second, larger city somewhere near and build a road with megaliths and towers along the way, let's say 500 people. In my current game I'm with around 420-ish people in three separate settlements. It's really hard but also very satisfying to see they thrive.
Thanks for showing some impression on game play. At the end you left two gates closed and people hat to go long distance around. I would be interested in another map for sure, for here it seemed everything was available easily. Also a City in the Hills would be nice to see if possible.
Love the series - continue! One thing that has been bugging me is that the village only has 2 entrances on the "East" & "West" side, i get the feeling that the carts are travelling more distance than needed. just a thought
Thanks for making these videos, I really enjoyed them. It would have been cool if you could have sent a team of raiders to another camp. But good video Raptor
If you do restart, please start using the resource management tools...it really helps automate the mundane things so you can focus on more important things. Plus, building unlimited linen and wool clothing is easy trade value in late game for buying tools, ore, technology, etc.
I played to 220 people two settlements in Bronze Age (still playing that). The AI is really frustrating in this game. Them little people don't understand (or care) about distances. Something right next or very far is just as good for them. And getting food is the LAST job they will do: everything else comes first. After hunger hits your settlement(s), you are screwed. They won't butcher domesticated animals, won't work on the fields, go hunting or even pick up ripe fruits right next to them. No, they will form queues where everyone marches towards the same piece of food (or food dryer), even if there's multiple pieces of food available. They will pick items that dead people dropped and carry or wheel the dead to cemetaries and recover morale there, in masses, causing bad situation go REALLY bad. The result is that no-one is getting or planting new food, and starvation collapse happens.
Would be so cool if other tribes settles around you and you can trade or invade them, and I love if you can settle beside the sea and have small boats to explore the unknown
Id love to see some more but i did just watch al 13 episodes in 2 days sooooo, maybe in a week or so. Lol. Boy im glad you were in my recommendations! Im going to be watching MUCH more of your content.
You should build that second settlement and see how it works, I think that would be great! Also I love your videos, one of the greatest youtubers. Glory to Raptoria!
It's worth setting all stables to high priority, citizens would prioritize slaughtering over other jobs. And prioritize crops also so they remain higher priority than sheep shagg...shearing. Those 70 sheep could also be used for setting up red sheep district. Coming with next update Well that's interesting. A minute after posting this you almost came to same conclusion 23:40
Why do send settlers outside the defences to fight. If u don't use the walls why build them. Get them to fight from the platforms that's what they are for
Mate thats a great city but the start point for this map is the other side of the river where you have your crops. Did you move over and build on the other side of the river? also how do you ensure your animals are fed i keep running out of straw. Its so frustrating too
It would be more realistic if raiders burn the crops and pillage warehouses and granaries, but that would be very hard since villagers are just casually walking towards raiders. Only dogs are eager to fight now.
If anyone is looking for more Dawn of Man content I'm playing through a let play currently. Nearly at 1000 prestige so pretty late game, come over and check it out :)
DoM isn't a bad game, but I'm really waiting for you re-start a new foundation series. Unless you are waiting for devs to fix some of the annoyances with foundation first?
I have found that anytime you are over 100% labor, you won't be able to slaughter any animals because they are the least priority and there isn't a way to prioritize that yet.
Country boy here and I have been round hay and straw way to many days thinking I would murder for auto bale loader hay ist dried grass straw is by product or leftovers of the crop after its thrashed. So pretty different straw makes good bedding or a fill when making silage (cow feed) it doesn't have much nutrients to it. Oh is good for manure is liquid if you don't well let straw soak it up but it's cheap hay is the opposite side of tgat coin lots of nutrients lots of money and time to produce well not so much time Def money in the Machines tho..
Questions... Is the combat in this game still this gimped? I get that this is early civilization, but even cave men knew: 1. When people come to kill your family, you need to get there fast, not just saunter on over when you feel like it.. 2. You need to get their as a group. 3. Honestly, having to build outposts kind of makes sense even though it seems janky at first thought.
Hello Mr Raptor, i never watched u untill recently, pls do tell me though, how do u feel about rimworld? i would love to see u play, the way u explain everything and all its awesome
Fruit or nuts are pretty good as kids can pick them up, I don't think they take up a sickle and farm, not sure though. The chinese did invent seed spreaders way before europe copy it. I say, make a new map and up the difficulty. By the way they really only kill really old animals, which sucks.
Hi, considering that developers of this game have stopped the support and any future development, is there any aletrnative out there? Something that is not only building and growing your city but also involve fighting and conquering? Because I love the various Banished, Ostriv and so on games, but they all lack the important part of surviving enemies and trying to conquer them to expand your dominion. Thanks to anyone who will reply :)
Good morning Mr Raptor. Question: How does this 'Dawn of Man' end? I mean, when do we know its Completed? I have 155 villagers, all the Spiritual & Burial monuments within my massive Settlement and made Prestige status but still the game continues. 'The Settlers' back in 1993 for the Amiga informed the player of "Victory" & "Do you wish to continue on in Free Roam?". I have not seen any confirmation from 'Dawn of Man' to state whether I have completed the game or not but I have hit all the obvious landmarks in the game. What am I missing? Question 2: What does that 2005 logo represent on your merchandise? I keep asking you because I have no idea & I Do like that Black mug & Hoody. Thank you Raptor.
Hey!! Thanks for the comment! I believe unless you’re playing a mission the game can go on endlessly with population control being the challenge. As for 2005 that’s when the channel was created if you check the about page so it’s in the merch too.
This is the LAST EPISODE for awhile! You all think it would be a fun idea to restart in a new map with a harder difficulty?! Let me know and blow up that like button for more DAWN OF MAN!
Yeah, try to the winter map on hardcore. The beginning map on normal is way too easy.
do a hardcore mode
Continue playing this game please.
Yes more dawn of man
My personal favorite of several great 'building' games you've played recently. Looking forward to seeing it again in the future for sure
I'd say you should make a second, larger city somewhere near and build a road with megaliths and towers along the way, let's say 500 people.

The battle begins at 19:07
Thanks
Yes
You are an absolute saint
Thank you
thanks sm
commentary during play is priceless. I generally LOL through the whole video.
Yay! Another video. Thanks, man. I really love these.
It sounds odd of me to be reacting to this like this since I am no kid. I'm in my 20s.
I liked I wanna see more of this city
Thanks for showing some impression on game play. At the end you left two gates closed and people hat to go long distance around.
I would be interested in another map for sure, for here it seemed everything was available easily. Also a City in the Hills would be nice to see if possible.
"We've got a lot of sheep that need shearin'." Get Ed to do it.
Luperion Frostruff atyyy
Listen to Carbon Based Lifeforms while playing. Makes the mood of this game and many others totally different.
Great series enjoyed it very much. Love the commentary. Make it rain keep it up
Yes, more dawn of man. Really enjoy your play through.
Fun videos! Enjoying your play through :)
Love the series - continue! One thing that has been bugging me is that the village only has 2 entrances on the "East" & "West" side, i get the feeling that the carts are travelling more distance than needed. just a thought

rap nice final battle !
You’re a really good commentator

This seems like such a cool game
I'll log in with multiple accounts to give more likes, for more episodes!
Sad life
it was sort of a joke, calm down lol.
@@realones7789 could say the same for you /e dab
Thats a pretty healthy citizens militia in your thumbnail
Id love to see some more but i did just watch al 13 episodes in 2 days sooooo, maybe in a week or so. Lol. Boy im glad you were in my recommendations! Im going to be watching MUCH more of your content.
an addictive little game like surviving mars
This game is very nice. There is another, like this, with this all evolution from pre-historic era to the new eras ? Waiting for Ancient Cities...
Super fun thanks dood
You should build that second settlement and see how it works, I think that would be great! Also I love your videos, one of the greatest youtubers. Glory to Raptoria!
I'm new at this game but i love it.
I'd build a secondary wall, on both the top and bottom of the settlements behind the fields, and then a few towers to slow em down
Go for it Raptor, more more more!!
Also, having homes closer to where attacks come in from keeps your own people from being exhausted when they get to the fight.
71 sheep = 20!! Great argument for mandatory education
Glory to Raptoria, cannot wait for update, Ancient Warriors mode next please Raptor
I’m disappointed this is the first video I saw this series I gotta go back and watch the settlement grow lol
keep it up raptor you're doing a great job!
Noo we need more cows!!! LOL
Congrats on the 150!

56:30 “the romantic music” :)
Why do send settlers outside the defences to fight. If u don't use the walls why build them. Get them to fight from the platforms that's what they are for
walls are pretty useless in this game they barely slow the enemy down and theyre not great for defence
Great game,
You need to play some Barry White music to set the mood :-)
we need a another episode :)
Hard core mode. Sure. Love the idea, but don't cheat us out of the effort to expand your village into that valley two ridges away.
I was part of the Ayebuds Clan, but i moved to Texas
I think the raptorians got a bit too attached to their sheeps
Mate thats a great city but the start point for this map is the other side of the river where you have your crops. Did you move over and build on the other side of the river? also how do you ensure your animals are fed i keep running out of straw. Its so frustrating too
Sounding the alarm makes your people grab weapons and attack the enemy. That's why they are... attacking the enemy
Read Description! - Do you usually read viewer comments or do they just annoy you?
Both haha
Hey raptor, keep some of your people hunting. It keeps my village from going hungry, and I’m at 195.
Yes, more dawn of man.
It would be more realistic if raiders burn the crops and pillage warehouses and granaries, but that would be very hard since villagers are just casually walking towards raiders. Only dogs are eager to fight now.
You know that we wanted to see walls with platforms on top. Please continue with this specific village and build that new wall.
If anyone is looking for more Dawn of Man content I'm playing through a let play currently. Nearly at 1000 prestige so pretty late game, come over and check it out :)
Stone walls need to be tweaked it seems. Take long to build but only a couple of hits to tear down
Read Description! Gloria to Raptoria!
Me and my siblings had a very hard time finishing bad ice cream 3 on hudgames lol
Lol, the best pinball game in the world
Would be cool if there was a mediterranean version, with sculptures and temples.
Read Description! Another great upload! I hope things are going well on your end, bud!
This is exactly where my colony is but mines on the other side of the river lol
Do more episodes 👌👌👌
Ancient Warriors, on Hardcore mode, give yourself a challenge. ;)
Raptor I'm going to give you a challenge. Two big cities would 1000 people combined on Hardcore! You think you can do it!
Looks like banished which came out like 10 years ago
DoM isn't a bad game, but I'm really waiting for you re-start a new foundation series. Unless you are waiting for devs to fix some of the annoyances with foundation first?
I have found that anytime you are over 100% labor, you won't be able to slaughter any animals because they are the least priority and there isn't a way to prioritize that yet.
Are you planning on doing another play through with the new armor update?
Country boy here and I have been round hay and straw way to many days thinking I would murder for auto bale loader hay ist dried grass straw is by product or leftovers of the crop after its thrashed. I think your population fluctuations can be explained by the new resident by the name of Jack, last name Ripper. 😁
I want to see more!!
Hardcore mode! Yes pls
Maybe a stone age till tomorrow like Empire Earth. Have a duration game.
Ola sou brasileiro, seus videos São otimos

Brave Rewards tells me Raptor gets 24% of my attention.. it's calming to be here..
Do more dawn of man plz raptor i like building game
I find platforms to be better defense than towers. Platforms are no maintenance correct?
The people going to the door next to the raiders
Yes more dawn of man

I love Dawn Of Man
are there no roads in the game? if not they should add them
wish they mix this game with forge of empires
The next follow up game should be a country like England after these periods of time like Romans’ possibly attacking
Great Vid :)

41:48 ottoman ambush ? ultimate ambush ?
GLORY TO MOTHER F'IN RAPTORIA
how did u get the shields??
Hey Rap, perhaps play the game all the way through?
What happened with building another village?
Was that some mod in the thumbnail? I'm in the Bronze Age...but that image shows so much better character models than my unmodded game.
Raptor The pun Lord
MORE!!!
What happened to making 2 settlements?
I think the food shortages are due to not enough places to cook them.
A cairn is actually a tomb btw
