    The active exhaust is plenty loud enough for me lol. It's definitely not as quiet as my camry. Also I live in a circular street, so it echoes off everyone's house amplifying that v8.😂 I think the factory exhaust is the right loud. It's a healthy loud. Especially when you step on it. When it's in sport mode and you're just cruising, it purrs and rumbles loud enough for you and everyone around you to hear it. I know a lot of guys want a louder exhaust than factory. To each his own. Your RT sounds & looks amazing! Don't ever sell it!

    For people watching this and dont want their CEL to come on, you have to pull the active exhaust fuse (#34 i think? Its a 15 fuse) before you remove the controller. If you get a CEL, just pull the negative from your battery for an hour or so, so it cal reset.

    Why are you messing with the active exhaust? It's like having electric cut outs

    • @jeffaschliman6729
      @jeffaschliman6729 5 месяцев назад +1

      Not really the active exhaust is to make the cars exhaust more quite at stop lights as to not be to loud for the ones who don't like loud exhaust .. it's not like electric cutouts which direct the exhaust straight to atmosphere... With active exhaust the exhaust still come out at the exhaust tip

    • @jjsrt8
      @jjsrt8 2 года назад +4

      There's a jack stand point welded in that spot where he had it. That's where you're supposed to jack up the car too. You can't jack it there if you're going to put stands though. I use a low profile jack and lift on frame then put stands.

    So what happens now to the “sport mode” button? Should I still use it?

    • @thisbrokentemple8219
      @thisbrokentemple8219 Год назад +4

      I can speak to this as I've entirely deleted the AES from my R/T as well. The sport mode button does more than just open the valves. The primary function of the sport-mode button is to change the shift behavior / timing. It makes you stay in lower gears for longer.

    • @Darkfinn
      @Darkfinn Год назад +4

      Sport mode quickens throttle response, firms up shifts, holds gears longer. Much more than just opening the exhaust.

    Does that void the warranty on the car.

    • @FORSAKENTOX1N
      @FORSAKENTOX1N Год назад

      Basically you just need to leave the engine to the catalytics alone if you want to keep your warranty, so things you can change are the exhaust starting from the end of the catalytic to the tail pipe (ex add/changing your cat back exhaust system) and the air intake (ex adding a cold air intake). So no this won't void it if you properly do it and don't end up locking it closed cause then that would be considered customer abuse and would void your warranty(so if you do it triple check your work). Honestly just save your money until you pay off you car then start modding it out

    • @jeffaschliman6729
      @jeffaschliman6729 5 месяцев назад

      No and remember this if you were to delete your muffler and the warranty folks found out all they could do is void from there to exhaust tip .. they can't void your warranty .. the can just choose not to fix the item you modified and beyond .. and if dodge sells it as option for your car then they couldn't void your warranty anyways ... That's what my lawyer told me

    • @jeffaschliman6729
      @jeffaschliman6729 5 месяцев назад

      Cold air intake will do nothing for your performance. But it looks cool and you can hear the air being sucked in lil better but because it's all computer controlled it will only take the amount of air the injectors can handle ... But performance will not change
