One of my favorite areas and stories from the Forgotten Realms! I hope it is done justice. Glad y'all are still makin stuff, even if i'm not playing today I spent many fond years adventuring in Stormreach and Eveningstar.
I am certainly looking forward to venturing into Myth Drannor. Actually, I had mentioned in the forums last November, that I wanted them to add the Red Wizards to the game. I am happy to see this be added to the game. I am still hoping to see an Iconic Dwarf from Mror Holds though...
I'm excited for this, Myth Drannor was a big city with extensive underground areas. I have the boxed set and there is a lot to do. It will be interesting to see how well they adapt it to the game. The flying carpet is dope AF.
now if only we could have houses in those trees EDIT I see the prepurchase and although I see a lvl 34 hireling in the package I do not see any mention of an actual play character lvl increase to 34 from 32 ? I will not buy it if it does not include a character lvl increase
If you can add new zones a magic carpet where you can do a backflip on. You can add flying mounts, updated graphics and most importantly UPDATED MELE COMBAT ANIMATIONS. Looks amazing tho another massive W for ddo.
This trailer does absolutely no justice to the game's real time, dynamic combat system. Show me some actual combat gameplay with a character sidestepping some projectiles, dodging a big attack with a tumble, dashing or blinking to reposition and sniping mobs with manyshot/scattershot or a whirlwind attack instead of a wizard standing still and casting magic missle ^^'
I was thinking the same thing. I'm excited for the new area and lore but man they really don't do themselves any favors with the combat that they show. Stationary, only one side attacking at a time, not showing off the tumble dodge roll, etc. The combat is so much better than that but this video makes it probably seem like a 2000's WoW clone to people who don't already play
ugh.. you guys REALLY need to improve on your trailers. this looks cheap with that generic floaty text in front of the video, you showcase just a bit of landscape and a red wizard casting magic missle.. we're not hooked by new mounts, how a race looks.. this is an CONTENT EXPANSION. what about a good hook for the story to come? some narration, where DDO usually shines? i LOVED the MoTU trailer, it was iconic and completely sold me in a second. this on the other hand looks like a school project. and not even a good one. this doesn't give me antything to be hooked onto. you really need to improve your trailer makings and overall advertising of the game. this doesn't do the trick. an expansion is a big thing for a game, a trailer should also look like it. build up some tension, intrigue old and new players alike to join in on the next big adventure. where is your passion?
As much as I love DDO, I have to agree; being backed by G7, SSG should have the resources to do things properly, especially in a competitive environment. The MotU trailer was amazing. 😅
its constructive feedback, i don't see a problem with that. this trailer is just meaningless. we only learn its DnD and Myth Drannor related in the endcard this is just not good advertisement for a game i love, and that i hate
There are so many Expansions, DLC, VIP in the Store. this is very confusing (what player exactly need to play) change it or new players will never come to your game
A player doesn't need anything other than the base game to play (for free). The company sometimes offers a code to get free adventure packs, and the expansions go on sale (deepest discounts for the older content).
I love Myth Drannor as a D&D hardcore fan. However the graphics is this MMO are getting so outdated that it´s almost painful to watch the trailer. There are many indie RPGs out there with better textures and assets...It´s getting harder and harder for me to return to DDO, specially since 4K UI scaling is not even available...
the trailer is pretty poorly made tbh. It doesn't do the game justice imho. Graphics will be outdated but they still fit the half-cartoony style well. Gameplay is INFINITELY better than what it looks here.
I see that big tree and I think.....there better not be a spiral staircase inside that.
🤣
Better yet, 2km long ladder
He did a BACKFLIP on a flying carpet people! :D Goddammit I'm in.

I agree, loved pool of radiance
Seeing the battles between characters made me nostalgic about Heroes of Might and Magic 5.
The graphics looked very similar somehow.

Myth Drannor? I might find my way back to DDO if so.
Welcome back! ;D
"Goood....goooooood. Let the FOMO flow through you...."

Hype! Solid trailer.
Look I love the teaser but atleast have someone with 100+ FPS on max graphics do the video - many parts had rly bad fps or some sort of lag
Nice one!! 🙂
Yay, this looks cool

Level cap will increase to everyone, even if you don't buy the expansion.

@@Alex-xl9ck what's wrong with melee combat animations? Doesn't look a priority to me
@@8Smoker8 lol looks aweful
@@Alex-xl9ck no, you.
Love it!

Can I play the worm thingy instead of another elf please. 😂
Haven't played for years.....

its just a game bro, keep the critique to the McDonalds who are lying about the ice cream machine going out...Atleast they're honest

@PrinceReiko-sy7lq that is quite infuriating
@@ricosingleton9039 lol no the game is WAY better than they made it look here.

What they need for new players are revamped prebuilt "Paths" and more game tutorial. Korthos is great but it could be so much better.
plis change sound effects
God that game could be soo good if not the cunkly animations and engine it runs on
Sweet 2006
what's crazy is that no MMO has been able to replicate the positives of DDO in almost 20 years.

Yes but on a positive note, you can still boot up your Gateway 2000 (remember them?) PC and play this game :)
I agree that the graphics are outdated. However, it gives a raw nostalgic vibe to the gameplay that is quite pleasurable.
Hey could u tell me which IS the expa i have to get ?
