Thanks man, i watched a few other guides but i didnt realize you have to do it all perfectly step by step. I always played shooters on true stretched and i hate the fact that this chinese spyware game makes it so hard. Thank you very much.
It has worked for me for a long time, but yesterday the resolution was automatically changed when I was playing and now when I am in the nvidia panel to change to 1440x1080 with the game open it goes back to the default resolution, does anyone know how to fix this?
when i put my game on windowed with fill aspect ratio and change my res to the res i want in the nvidia control panel, i tab back into my game and it reverts back to letterbox every time (still windowed). and whats weird is that i used a different guide and it worked for me the first time, but i had to go eat breakfast so i closed my game... but when i went back, it started doing the issue i prev. stated. idk why its not working please help
Idk if you still have this problem or found the fix yourself but the Problem could be that you don't have ur native Resolution before you change to fill
For some weird reason it switches to 1600×900 when i go into a game but in the menus its the correct res. Does this happen to you? No matter what res i use it always switches to 1600x900.

how do i go back to native just incase I dont like stretched. And do i need to have winexe always in the background or can i just press X on the top right?
to go back to native to change your resolution in nvidia control panel back to 1920x1080 and do the reverse of some of the steps like the ingame val settings. also with the winexe im not sure mayb test yourself by clicking the x and seeing if it still works

thanks my winexp wasnt responding and youre the only guy who showed that it should be open by "run as administrator" and that fixed the issue

I have opposite problem; my game is stretched but I want letterbox. Streched messes with lineups.
make new line up or don't play stretched- or just use a lower res 16:9 if you care about framerate.

Make sure the nvidia display scaling is set to full screen. There should also be an equivalent for AMD but I don't know it.
