- In this video I show you how to play stretched resolution in Apex Legends season 19 in 2023. I show you all of the best stretched resolutions, how to use 4:3 1440x1080 with no black bars, as well as any other resolution you want to play. I also show you how to properly display scale your stretched res with CRU for less input delay. (open for more info)

UPDATE: you can try to enter in your monitors native refresh rate if its not showing up in CRU when you are creating your new res, but it doesnt work for every res, mostly just the really low ones

For some reason when I do this, whenever I turn off my PC, none of it saves, and I have to do it all over again
@@realxrukrwrld I figured it out I had the same problem and did some trouble shooting of my own. This is a problem due to windows 11 I believe, and windows 11's way of changing file name extensions. Go into your file explorer> go to view at the top> show> file name extension> from there you find the file that SHOULD be named autoexec.cfg.txt delete the txt at the end and hit yes. Essentially, windows 11 cause for you to never ACTUALLY change your file type so you have to use the roundabout way to do it.

the nvidia sharpening helped a ton on 1728x1080 when i was using, makes it so much more clear
@@complysdo you know why my game still looks blurry on 16:10 regardless if i put .30 or .50 on image sharpening? Its like it doesnt do anything and reverts to nvidia recommended
@@DannyHeadshot1just make sure it change. It does say nvida recommended but just make sure it goes to the setting that u want it to be.

Is anyone else's game completely broken after the new season? Half the sounds don't load, lower row of legends in main menu doesn't load, weapons on the ground are often invisible and when they load in, they appear blocky and pixelated.
I tried changing my res to default (2560x1440) and everything began working flawlessly again, so I thought maybe my settings were changed somehow, so I tried doing the entire process shown in this video (as I did the first time I started playing 4:3 res lol) but the same errors began appearing again.
Btw, my ideal res and the one I've been using for some months now is 1920x1440.
I really want to play 4:3 stretched so I would really appreciate some help 🥲🥲🥲

I figured it out I had the same problem and did some troubleshooting of my own. This is a problem due to Windows 11 I believe, and Windows 11's way of changing file name extensions. Go into your File Explorer> go to view at the top> show> file name extension> from there you find the file that SHOULD be named autoexec.cfg.txt delete the txt at the end and hit yes. Essentially, windows 11 causes for you to never ACTUALLY change your file type so you have to use the roundabout way to do it.

How are you able to run 240fps at 1440x1080 res , mine is always stuck at 144. Even though I put the steam config in? Pls help brother!

I play siege and csgo in stretch rez and have wanted to try it on apex for a while but it was always too confusing or annoying to to setup. Now I have it set up and it was not even a headache, thanks a ton for the video!

can't find respawn folder in saved games... My saved games folder is in c while apex and steam apps is instaled in d im stuck because i dont know what to do
I have apex on steam and when i browse local file and click on the cfg folder, there’s only a client folder inside, no other text files like u. And when i create a autoexec file and changed the tail to .cfg it doesn’t ask me anything. Help me plz cause mah ui is misplaced:))

I’m getting a lot of crashes when I boot up the game. I went back and reset my setting in the saved game files back to normal. Should I still have read only checked?

non of the monitors in cru says active and in the extension blocks I only have default extension block any fix for that
1728x1080 doesn't work for me. Game just loads with some other res but not with the one that I mentioned in videoconfig

this was my old fortnite res wayyy back in the day, idk why I never thought about using it for apex
i followed the steps, but my res says " native" still and isnt stretched but it says 1728 x 1080

the option to customize my res is greyed out of the nividea control panel. and i know you need to disable dsr factors in 3d settings, which I did on my old monitor and it worked. But now that I'm on my new monitor, the customize res option is again greyed out, but this time, dsr factors won't even show up. help.

ok so i tested it again and you can try to use your monitors native refresh when making the new res, and if its very stretched you can but even 1440x1080 i couldnt go to the highest, it had to be 1350 and below
@complys just upgraded to a 4070 ti. What are the best Nvidia control manage 3d settings to get the best performance? Still dealing with frame drops 😅

I do 1440p all low settings, set model detail and stream budget to whatever, I’m doing capped 180fps, I can easily hit 240fps on 1440p, but I gotta mess with nvidia panel and I’m too lazy to do that
Why my frames are 90-120 on 4;3 while on 16;9 i get constant 165?
There is something that not everyone explains, lowering the screen resolution means that the workload is on the cpu rather than on the gpu, if you use MSI Afterburner you can see how the cpu usage increases and the gpu usage decreases, ideally it should be the opposite. Preferably the GPU has to be in greater use than the CPU. This simply means that if your CPU is not powerful enough you will not have good fps in 4:3 or 16:10, but in 16:9 in theory it would be better.

@@elverhahain my honest opinion, you should always try the better quality res possible streched or 16:9 whatever and when you have a shit pc you can try and see if it works for you but i do not recommend if you can have better

Yo @complys I need some help, hopefully you see this! To preface I am a hardcore player and know more than the average optimization junky and I can't for the life of me figure out how to fix my issue.
For some reason when I set my stretched rez to 1680x1050 360hz in the Nvidia control panel (I have the 360hz 24.5in Zowie BenQ) with all of the correct panel settings and launch options then load into Apex my monitors refresh rate changes from 360hz to 240hz. This ONLY occurs when I load Apex, otherwise the refresh rate stays 360hz.
I cap my fps using RTSS and +fps_0 at 240hz but when I use any other resolution my MONITORS refresh rate will remain 360hz when I load Apex.
I've tried many fixes such as creating a custom 1680x1050 rez that can only access 359hz and making it my monitors base rez but even then the refresh rate drops from 360hz to 240hz once Apex is launched. Any fixes, ideas, or known issues you may know would be awesome my guy!

You most likely have DSR-.resolutions activated.
Go to the adhyst 3d settings, and UNcross all the extra resolutions.

appreciate your hard work! But it is way too much for me. And tbh almost none of these proplayers are doing this - this has to be for weak computers. I mean using stretch putting everything on low and u will be fine :)

I have a 2k monitor and I’m trying to do 2133x1440. Everytime I start up the game though it’s making it 4:3 in 1080p. Is this not possible to make it stretched with 2k?
