The mother who asks Jesus to give her sons a place next to him. We call her a Curling mom. Curling is a sport where you send a stone across the ice. And 1 or two sweep away all obstacles. This mother sweeps away all obstacles. So her sons can get the best seats..
I hope somebody from your Church will answer this question, (It would be nice if Skip did, but I will understand if it is not him). Skip, you said that James was the first Martyr? I thought that title actually went to Stephen in Acts 7? James death is not recorded until Acts 12:1-2. I know this video was posted almost 2 years ago---bu did you actually meant to say that James was going to be one of the first Martyrs? Because that would be more applicable. Don't worry--I still love listening to ya!
Salvation itself doesn't depend on what we do, but at least some of the rewards we get once we are in heaven depend on the work we do for God while on Earth.
An interesting analysis of a difficult passage. Thanks for clearing up questions in my mind about rewards, judgment etc. Bless you Skip!
Haha I love how he's sat right there like he's just storytelling. Thank you so much for this
This is very helpful. Thank you.
Thank you ❤
I like the fact the first thing the blind saw was Jesus the Savior! Thanks for another very good Bible Study!
He talks about some series called edge of eternity at 28:10. Any idea if its there in youtube
Found it in the Skip Heitzig app. From the edge of eternity

Not sure how old this video is, teaching blessed me. Is the worship leader still leading worship?

From my understanding, James is the first martyr among the 12 Disciples of Jesus.
Stephen is the first Christian martyr.
what we gain from following Christ does not depend on action or time - are you paid by a corrupt 501C3 church Skippy?
