She is the Aly Raisman of Italy (although she has several WC Titles under her belt). I felt so bad in London and even worse for her in Rio. But Tinkler was cleaner, had Ferrari stuck her last past she would have won :(

In my opinion , she should have still surpassed Tinkler with the problems she had on the last line. Seems like the judges hammered Vane on the last pass but ignored Amy's 150° leaps, piked Chusovitina, low chest landing on the Silivas and double tuck . Amy's stuck double pike certainly helped her settle for the bronze. But we hope to see Vane in Tokyo 2020 .
It really killed me to see her get 4th again...it especially sucked back in '12 because she got 4th with a near-flawless routine and the 3rd highest score. But the look on her face after 2016 EF, smiling, knowing this is it for her (if she really means it about retiring), says to me that she was ready to accept whatever fate had in store. Because she knows no matter she's one of the best. If she just stuck the dismount...the long-deserved medal would've been hers :( So sad.
My hero... The greatest! Two times robbed, but she comeback for Tokyo 2020!... what a gymnast! This double piked is not her cleanest but the UK gymnast is not clean on every single toublings!

She wasn't robbed in 2012 or 2016 in my opinion. Mustafina hit her routine like never before minus the form on her triple in 2012, it's just a shame they do tie-breakers. Here Ferrari had the medal in her hands until that double pike. Very sad for her, but I have a feeling she'll be in Tokyo. Maybe she should stop trying for the All-Around and JUST become a floor specialist.
Vanessa wasn't 100% healthy come Rio despite her good performances, and didn't have the operation on her achilles until the Games concluded. The back-tuck combination (as well as the split jump she used to do out of the double layout) either probably wasn't consistent or physically demanding on the achilles.

Well she wasn't robbed tbh. In 2012 her leaps shouldn't get credited but they did. Here her landings are low for the final two passes.

i cried so hard when i saw the competition. i think she is like the only terrific gymnast that we have in Italy and she deserved bronze
