No,. This extended mix does not work well. Nothing more than the repetition of the theme plus some unnecessary nonsense in between... In my opinion, WATCHLAR is, not only a bright produced song, but a perfect composed with a 3 minutes-structure-song: Intro, medium part and fast (but also slow...! this is the best of this singular song...) decay... Perfect...!
agree. i somehow got a copy of this song with the fruitopia added as an intro..don't know who's the genius behind it and the two parts mixed perfectly ( with the intro making this even more delightful than just the watchlar itself). i wish some one would upload that version on youtube soon.
i guess i perceive this one as sort of coming out of melancholia, as though a dark mood is lifting. it might be the possible 'good morning' that's in there and maybe 'smiling face' at one point. there's no point in trying to decide what she might have actually said but those syllables seem to happen and that colors the song a bit. the guitars get kind of threatening every once in a while and that gives some ambiguity to the mood.
I've never thought of this song as melancholy. On the contrary, it's quite uplifting. It relaxes me.

Melancholia?! Some of their stuff is melancholic but, in my opinion, not this. It's quite bright, almost cheerful. Good to have though.
