Always the most in-depth reviews and what no electric seats again and at that price? More soft plastics be better also, but happy they gave it the 2ltr EA888 as the tigy was under powered to me. Be interested to see how it goes now, just hope we get the R, in Australia. Thank you Tomas

I'm sick of this endless march to rid cars of all buttons!
I had a DS3 Crossback when it was first released and everything was controlled with touch sensitive buttons; no physical buttons and I hated it.
You have to take your eyes off the road to work any functions - with physical buttons you have muscle memory and don't need to take your eyes off the road.
Yes it looks nice without buttons, but it's form over function and I think it's a dangerous distraction.
People used to say that about phones. Don't be a dinosaur.

@@sbomorse people don't use their phones when they are driving? And remember a lot of these cars without buttons control things like climate using voice activation.

Very nice review. Personally I liked the old steering wheel, as well as the Dynaudio system. Also prefer the sliders, instead of having to go through the infotainment system. When both of them will be available in Europe ?

R-Line will come in October and R in November, at least in Germany
Lol I was working on other work and then looked back at the video at 1:50 with the back and I literally said "Oh wow." That's amazing. Though slightly upsetting that the back of the Atlas doesn't seem to get as much love.
The Atlas is only For the US
Market. They don't offer it in Europe.
Is the new Harman Kardon stereo better then the old Dynaudio system?? which was one of the best factory installed audio systems I have heard. Also is it now possible to have different colors in the interior illumination? before it was only white ledstripes. best regards
I agree, the Dynaudio was awesome in the Tiguan and wasnt too expensive either! I dont know yet, I gotta test it while driving.

@@autogefuel Thanks for the answer. Well that remains to be heard I guess. I had a BMW 325IX before with Harman Kardon and it was good and spread the sound well. But it did never have the punch of the Dynaudio system in the current Tiguan. For me the Dynaudio made it fun to play heavy metal from the 80s again since all of the sudden there was Bass in the stereo..Never saw that in the HK system in the BMW. Also the Dynaudio had an equalizer in the Tiguan that actually was worthy of its name. I think that was one of the key factors of that stereo system being so good. So for the new Harman Kardon to be better..well will be fun to hear..
My experience with Harman/Kardon is only relates to their portable speakers and I wasn’t satisfied at all - very poor sound quality. I would prefer Bose or Sonos instead. As for car audio, it might be different but better to check with own ears :)

You will get 8 speakers already in the base version. I don't know the performance of the base radio but the upgrade (Harmon Kardon) gives you 480 Watt with 10 speakers and a subwoofer
Great exterior and nice engine with 320ps.. but all those touch controls.. omfg. Nope thanks! Especially on the steering wheel..

All new features and R engine of 320 HP are nice, but exterior of previous version is much better IMHO. I would probably go for Tesla Y after they will fix most of the issues.

The R get 320 hp, it's ment to be Driven...Curves that is!
The R-Line is the "normal" car but with nice looks and all regular engines (starting from 130 hp). The R version is the most luxury version and with only the 320 hp engine all wheel drive with torque vectoring. R-Line starts at around 39K€ in Germany and the R is most likely almost double that price...
@@mlohr1 Great way to confuse customers - introduce R model when you already have an R-line model
Couldn't they have picked another letter or name instead of using the same letter they already use on fancy models..
@@fug33 this was always the case also with other models like the Golf and T-Roc. The R-Line is for those customers with smaller budgets but the wish for a better looking model over the base version. Maybe a better name would be "R-Looks" ;-)
Anyone know what price category the R Line will begin at?
R-Line 1.5 TSI will start just above 39K€ in Germany (2.0 TDI 4Motion +5K€). These are the first engines available, others will follow

Do they do a more off road variation of the Titan
Definitely want to see the R on the race track.
I’m not crazy on how fake the fake exhausts look here and the new wheels are too sporty for the rline. After some use you will see a lot of brake disk wear and dirt through those large gaps. The old Suzuka (although a bit dated) wheels were more appropriate on this car. I’m looking forward to seeing the new ID4 when it’s released as it might be a more desirable future proof option.
