कैंसर का निदान (Diagnosis of Cancer ) कैंसर की treatment तय करने में सबसे महत्वपूर्ण है।
Diagnosis of Cancer
Diagnosis दो या तीन तरीकेसे हो सकता है।
१. अगर शरीर के ऊपर के हिस्से में गाँठ है। जैसे की बगल या फिर गरदन के पास गाँठ है तो उसका टुकड़ा निकालके biopsy , microscopic जांच केलिए भेजते है , जिसको Histopathology कहा जाता है। 3-4 दिनों में उसका report मिल जाता है और इससे cancer का diagnosis confirm होता है।
२. अगर diagnosis confirm नहीं हुआ तो histopathology के बाद advanced test , Advanced Immunohistochemistry test करके पता कर सकते है की ये कैंसर कहा से आया है।
3. उसी तरह से cancer की stage जानना बोहोत जरुरी है. इसकेलिए PET (Positron emission tomography) Scan जिस्से cancer staging पता चलती है।
इसके ऊपर doctor patient की treatment और उसका outcome भी समझमें आता है।
Cancer Staging
1st stage cancer और 2nd stage cancer , इलाज संभव है।
3rd stage cancer कुछ हद तक curable है।
4th stage cancer जिसको last stage cancer कहा जाता है उसमे cancer curable नहीं हो सकता, लेकिन treatment करके patient की quality of life improve कर सकते है और life extend कर सकते है ।
