In my 48 years of watching sports I have never rooted for a player that didn't play on one of the 4 professional sport franchises in Detroit. I'm old school: team first, player second. I threw up in my mouth when Rodman went to the Bulls and help Jordan and Pippen win their last three championships and didn't like him again until he retired. But I have become a Golden State fan because of Curry and the way the Warriors play basketball which is a thing of beauty. • @EhhSenpai

Facts. I think it's because there's no history and that people today are more fans of individual players. The knicks because they are such a historic team and are romanticized and symbolic of being from NY. Where BK doesn't have all the love of NY (which they should), it's not surprising that a bunch of curry fans live in the state and made sure to buy tickets when he's on the east coast

Fr Nets fans are just bandwagoners and this is not they’re city. They need to go back to NJ. Knicks will always rule this city no matter how bad or good we play. Nets don’t get the amount of love Knicks get here.
