Thank you so much for these interviews and advices! I'm a singer/composer from an independent band (Elenion) that just released a "test" single, and all the information here is really useful to learn how music industry works outside my country. I'll definitely keep this in mind when we release our debut full album this year. Again, thanks, and all the best for you and Ignea! ♥
I really like Leah's approach. She's giving some great advice for artists who do these kinds of solo projects without touring. It's quite similar to my own so this has been very infomative. 2 suggestions for future interview partners: Britta Görtz (Critical Mess, Cripper) and Laura Kiddo (Aeries). I think they would be very open to it as well!
it would appear that what Leah's doing is working....she has multiple irons in the fire, as well as five children on the go, without any hint of stress....I can see why you'd want to talk with her Helle....ask and you shall receive...knowledge is the key...great interview
I don't think you could have interviewed a better person for your Bandsment talks! I discovered Leah before I discovered Ignea, and as I like to do when discovering new bands, I research more about them. I was fascinated to find out she had never toured and about her other businesses. This was a great and informative interview! Your comment about feeling funny about asking people for money, I have heard this from other artists on Patreon that I follow. They worry about doing enough for their followers and the response from their followers are the same across the board, they are doing it support the music and bands they love. The close contact we (fans) have to the artists, for me and I know many many others means so much to us. Helle, you have worked very hard, you were on Patreon long before other artists even thought about it. You are and will continue to be successful for that hard work. For me, spending a few dollars a month to support you and other artists, the benefits have been 'Priceless'! Just Priceless! Thank you for everything you do, I wish you and every artist out there, the world!
Don't get me wrong, I'm also always worried about doing enough on Patreon and for all our supporters :) but I just understand that all the income that comes through Patreon can drastically help us to grow with IGNEA and that means better production, new releases, touring (when the pandemic is over), etc. so, I choose the second one, even if I continue to worry about that :D thank you for supporting us!
Drop your suggestions! Who do you want me to interview next?
Sepsiss band / melissa wolfe

Great interview and interesting answers by Leah especially the last questions. Am considering joining the Savvy Musician Academy!
Two marketing teachers came together. A lot of information and very useful experiences. Greetings! :-)
well, I'm not a teacher, I'm just sharing my experience and the experience of fellow artists :)
This was extremely interesting, and helpful information! Thanks for posting it
