    so you preety much create a small video game where all the character can do is walk around and look right ?
    How time consuming is this compared to a standard 3d floorplan made in 3ds max for example?

      Hi Lex, yes you are right. It is much more time consuming and it needs lot of r&d.

    can you do this with VR headset, walk around in a romm and translate that to the scene and also change materials switch lights on and of etc

      Of course, that's the point of using Unreal. You can even export for mobile, or deploy a web app depending on your optimization settings.

      @@robertduvenage76 For mobile app, that's just a bunch of technical configuration stuff in the engine. The official documentation is here: docs.unrealengine.com/en-US/SharingAndReleasing/Mobile/Android/PackagingAndroidProject/index.html Of course, you need to have a solid knowledge of LOD levels and texture optimizations, otherwise, your mobile app will slow to a crawl.
