As a Garen main i can say - maxing W first is veeeeeeeeeery bad idea, the scaling of that is tooooooo weak. And 1250 dmg from shield bash it's just absolutlelly nothing for 30+ minutes game, comparing with a good shield bash users like Shen for examplse. And u lost a little bit couse of ur item build, and runes. The enemies was too tanky for ur team to kill them.
It was predictable cause 0 movespeed, 0 armor pen itmes. with phase rush it could be much easier in late game. It wasn't about mechanics, it was about only runes and itemization.
You don't believe they left you there? wtf man your base was going down! holly shit man do you realy think about it? You stole so many kills from guys who were already dead using your ult and then needing it and not having it, it hurts to have to write this because it had to be obvious. Other than that, you maxed out your W (worst choice) and then maxed out your Q, considering that you wanted to have shields, you obviously wanted to last longer in fights and with that, your E would be much better used as it would stay spinning for longer and it would be buffed.
