Does what happened at 45:19 not lose time? I don’t know the names of the move set but cappy spun around Mario and then he had to jump up the platform and throw cappy again. It doesn’t look like the intended movement, if that makes sense Edit: Or maybe that’s included in “Bunnies” come to think of it

SMO speed runs are so funny during the cloud To lost cut scene because Mario pops in absolutely beats the hell out of Bowser three consecutive times and then the cut scene plays you skip it and on the other side of that cut scene Bowser has decimated you so badly to the point that you can’t leave the kingdom, totally breaking your whole ship and everything like story wise that cut scene is so oddly backwards its a really jarring transition
At 16:48 how did you not get stunned? I heard a jump sound, is there a frame where you can jump before hitting the ground to reset your last grounded location?
I wonder how much of the time in this run is spent purely waiting for the moon animations to end. Furthermore, I wonder how much of it is spent waiting for unstoppable things to end, like skipping cutscenes, dialogue, loading screens, etc
