Just had this recommended, I was on the 100 miler on the Sunday also. Terrible rain! I also got a puncture (shard of broken glass) and couldn't unseat my bead from the rim. Couldn't get warm again after that incident haha, great course though, planning to do it again next year

Is that the thing where you ‘invite someone that hasn’t recorded the ride’? There’s been times where I would have wanted to combine two rides when my watch stops accidentally, if you can do that then that would be amazing 😂🙌
Well done. I did the same ride (my first century too). That rain was pretty epic! Shame about your puncture. I'd had a few annoying ones recently so decided to take the plunge and go tubeless, which I don't regret one bit. I must have passed at least 20 people fixing them once all the courses rejoined.

@@mhb.trains No not at all. Valves on. Gloop in. Job done. I did it outside in case of spillage. I also did a practice run with no sealant to check the tyres would work ok, which they did.
Great stuff, I got the 2023 Propel 2 great bike for the money. I have stuck some deep section wheels on and it looks fab. Keep enjoying yours and don;t forget the tribal if that will keep you riding through winter 👍
@@mhb.trains good cheers mate! it was 100mi 5k elevation in the end, 6hr33 moving (8hr elapsed). Thankfully no mechanicals, don't think I would've had your resolve to continue as it ended up being dark near ride's end, set off far too late in the day😅 Here's to the next one!
5K elevation is craaazyy!! 😭 Great shift from you finishing that in the dark! Haha I cant lie moral definitely went down after the mechanical but yeah the early start made it manageable 🙌🏼 where was the ride you did?

My bike came all ready for it (wheels, rim tape, and tyres). I just needed to buy some valves and sealant.
Did you find the process of setting them up a pain?
