Agree with what you said in the description. Specs wise the X24 is better, but the M20 is just badass looking :) If they ever come out with an M24 I'll be all over it. I think 24 might be the sweet spot for these cafe racer style bikes. Another thing about Engwe is their support is not terrible. I know "not terrible" doesn't sound like much of a compliment, but for a mail order Chinese budget brand I think it's all you can reasonably hope for.
I admit the price to performance certainly seems top notch. The suspension might be a little overkill but I've also heard that vibration or heavy impacts can lessen the lifespan of a battery so maybe it's an attempt to see if they can minimize that. I always question the thinking behind making a bike this big a folding bike. I guess maybe if you want to store it in your garage or your SUV can't handle a fill size, but it almost seems like more of a hassle to fold than if you just had a full size bike to manage.
It's funny if you really look at that middle shock it don't do anything and how can it because of the rear shocks are being compressed the middle one would be going out not in so it probably hurts suspension not helping it.
I mean not really for how much components cost. Can't even get a really nice "normal" bicycle for $2k....and to have a full electric drivetrain that does 32mph for 34 miles? Sheeeshshhh!!! 🙌🏽
Mid range tbh, some E bikes can reach 6k but they're more Electric motor bikes. This is cheap because it gives you a double battery. Batteries are one of the most expensive parts of the E-bikes. The more range an E-bike gives, the better it is for the consumer.
Lots of reports of Engwe frames breaking. Engwe dont like to replace + poor customer service. These reasdon kinda make me wanna stay away from Engwe. Thanks for the review though !
Motor is pretty weak no torque, use pedal to get you up to speed. Its good in that it can switch between pedal assist and throttle both at the same time. Not just one or the other.
And what happens when you get a bike that has issues? That "incredible value" isn't so valuable. Looking at Truspilot, if you get a bike that functions, good for you, but if you get a bike with issues there is little to no support. Very bad for you. Send them an email, see how long it takes for them to respond. Ask them specific questions, see if they answer them or give you a bunch of word salad. I did, and I'm not going anywhere near this company.
You should test bikes with some objective standards. For example, test every bike up the same 20% grade and show a timed 0-20. Every bike you test, you love. I know you get paid for each sale so If you had some objective testing, your reviews would be more valuable.
@@TheInjaTop speed is great but it’s also useful to show acceleration, hill climbing and braking distance in an objective way to add value to already great reviews
@@jfly2249 appreciate the tips brother! 🤘🏼 I actually do have full clips of each of those metrics throughout the video if people want to watch it all the way through. :)
dam makes me wish i had a job or some money dam it lol you wont come around a good deal like this everyday lol or the older model one you keep mentioning as well lol owell such is life
ya.. to be fair, engwe is cheap but that also mean cheap unknown battery from China same with motor ( which means low lifespan / risk for batteries catching fire ) , you get what you pay for, i had a engwe and i got rid of it. i rather save up more money for a better e bike, with known brand batteries that are good, like samsung or LG brands, same with motor, bafang is a decent motor. im saving up for a E-mountain bike right now which will take me 2 years. hope you get the bike you are looking for! gl
The X20,24 and 26 are the bikes I've been waiting for. Got really exited when I saw an add and finally I've decided to buy an ebike!
My X24 will be here Friday! 😊
I just bought it's big brother the x26, anyone at around 6ft could still fit on thex24, the26 feels a bit big for me.

it would be nice to see this suspension in action, especially where its so unique. just simply on the bike hopping on the pedals with a side profile
allways with the best review videos thanks for the some of the best content on youtube!
It's a privilege and honor 💯
noice, you're now featured on their website
great job you're doing gotta be rewarded
good day NinJ !
biggest complaint is sports mode for 3 minutes only. so your limited to 27-28mph on average and no rear pegs for the rear seat...
Facts.
Explain ?
Explain better...?

Ah, good point.
It has to be folding to get the battery in the frame.
This looks very nice, a bit bulky but still very nice. This is considered a moped in Uk not street legal without insurance.
Interesting.
You carn't get insurance above a 250watt. Because they are illegal. In motor, and speed and hand throttle. (In uk)..
Seems like a really nice bike for the money. Another great in town commuter👍
Thanks, Dartman!
No fenders? Would it bankrupt Engwe to include necessary equipment?
Nah I think it came with fenders but I always leave em off for lookz
Do you think this can handle some mountain bike trails?
Love your channel man. Been wanting to put a electric motor on my gokart but don't know where to start!
Next video coming this weekend! Still making the fiberglass body right now!

Looks great
It’s cool and 1200 watts peak 70 nm Torque is average. I love the design and that’s a sweet price, thx for heads up! Do you get to keep these?
Yep! And I sell them for 50% off on my website.
You got battery specs wrong way round. Main 19ah is the seat one. Front in the frame is 9or so ah.
Why does the seat look so far away from the handle bars? like I would be leaning over just to reach the handlebars
You could slide seat forward, also maybe change front handle bar stem bracket, itcould be changed for a shorter one.
great video, but isnt 2k a lot?

There’s way better options than this for 2k.

Good info, thanks for sharing!
Do u have to keep peddling with this or will it assist you up to 15 mph without ?

I would instantly buy this if it delivered to Taiwan. Can't get anything good here
Most of these are probably made a few 100 miles away from you lol.
This, bike does not have cruise control. Yes it’s in the menu but the feature doesn’t work.
💯‼️
w00t ... but when will they put cup holders on these e-bikes? .... that is the real question 🤣🤣
Right?????

Haha. The mayhem guy that loves making trouble and rubble. Thanks for the laugh.
So I am assuming that you never pedal when you do range tests? Personally, I can't stand not pedaling.
Nope, tests are for powertrain only!
