Quite a difficult game with as you said a very Razor's Edge win or lose, which to me is a sign of a good game.

I completely agree: The game seems to be very finely balanced. So far, all games were really close - that's great design. 👍

When you shoot a white ship it does not get put back into play correct? Only the red ones get respawned

Yes, that's the case - I completely missed that in my first playthroughs. I just recorded the first campaign mission and forgot that there also. I'll do that correctly starting with the second campaign mission. 🤦‍♀️

Couldn't you have still won since you could have ignore overkill? So needing 7 and getting a 6 or 5 in the left most column and then needing only a 1 or 2 (depending) in the third column? You would end up winning before having to drop the right most column and the third column wouldn't have impacted.
    Great playthrough. 👍

You are completely right! I indeed could have still won, although it would have been extremely close. I somehow did not see that but - to my defense - I was very exhausted at that point because this specific game was really tough somehow. 😅

@@SirThecos you are absolutely correct about how tightly it is balanced though. Which is good and bad lol .... that tight can be a little frustrating sometimes because it can often mean you cannot make any mistakes or less than optimal plays and can also mean that poor dice rolls can kill any hope you have. I prefer just a touch looser in balancing for me. Those hair's breadth wins feel amazing but it can also mean you can get like 40% into a game and know you have no hope of winning. It is also partly why I like Euros so much. I want to play the game to completion not actually knowing if I am actually going to win until the end, so I can enjoy the playing of the game without being bogged down by "ok I need x/y/z to have a hope at winning .... annnnnnd I didn't get it".
It is much more fun to watch you play these lol ... less personal investment in the actual outcome lol but you winning still brings that enjoyment and cheer. 😆

I agree - I usually like my games a bit looser, too. With this game, I like the tight balancing, though - I guess that's mainly because I really enjoy the gameplay: It's a really great puzzle. Also, while the balancing is tight, I do get the feeling that you can mitigate a few mistakes, too. So far I won all games except this last one here and that's not a bad ratio.
