Oh, and thanks for keeping the videos coming man. I learned MRS and SRS 3 years ago (with your video aid), and I still learn tips and tricks from you. I would like to see some emergency use scenarios!
as a new climber, its refreshing to see little mistakes with knots and climbing lines. That just means ìt happens to best of them, too. I gets self conscious when people see me fumble but i know what it needs to look like and I get it right befor i put weight on it
COOL TECHNIQUE..I REMEMBER THE FIRST TIME TRYING THIS AND EXPECTED TO GET STUCK BUT IT WAS A WIDE CROTCH LARGE LIMB OAK SO IT WORKED WELL.NOT EASY TO DEMONSTRATE ON CAMERA. DEF START LOW N SLOW WITH THIS ONE🌲😎
Awesome stuff Bino as always, need to go out and play in my tree to get the concept committed to memory, take an additional rope with me incase my rig gets stuck, I’ve had to completely take hitch cord and pulley off due to a tight crotch, it kept getting stuck, so I gave up on that method, thanks
Bino, thank you so much for all the amazing content! I have learned so much from you. I believe this video demonstrates the technique Jeff Jepson labeled "repositioning the climbing line" on p.61 of the Tree Climber's Companion 2nd edition. Is this correct? I appreciate you expanding on why it's energy-saving and how to prevent the friction hitch from running.
Get the Arborist study guide and study the heck out of it. Another good book is Arboriculture. It's great if you study and then when you're working you start seeing bits and pieces of what you read.
I really appreciate your work, Bino, so let me make a suggestion. It would be nice to have a kind of tree model for demonstration on the ground and then repeat it in the real tree after that. I mean, It's tough work for cameraman, there is no way to do it well against the sky.
Bino, since your talking about MRS in this video, I was wondering if MRS requires different saddle specifications from SRT? I noticed that Petzl's Sequoia saddle is referred to as a SRT saddle.
The new Petzl SEQUOIA (SRT) comes in both modifications, so,technically, for MRS you need a one without "SRT". However, Bino has a good point on that, personally I've ordered the "SRT" mod.
Nice vid. Thanks! Looks li,e you film in a city park. I cant believe on of those california karens hasnt complained about you climbing where she has to see it!😂😂😂
Old school is were. I reside belt hitch four fingers figure 8 taught hitch two down two up if splayed out Tree two down three up don't be scared .I am more fear full of the new stuff I can trust a rope

It's a bummer when that happens. Thank you!
That thumbnail reminds me of when I taught my ex's kids how to repel. They weren't very interested till they saw me go upside down 😆 good times.
Trure it's very enjoyable.

Buckingham Master 5.0
Nice, thank you 👍
Thank you too!

You want to have a saddle that has a center connecting point for SRS. You can do MRS with a center point.
@@BinoH Thanks!

That's cool but once you get used to the new stuff it's not so bad and the trust will come in time.
He says it's a real short tree..
